I will admit I had insider info on Sophie and Stu's season.

I will also admit that I didn't spend a thousand hours hunting down the FRC location in New Caledonia because... ummm… :halo: Can't tell you that one.

What I WILL say is that I don't know any of the contestants on this season, or Nick personally... but I do have access to certain channels of information that I hear things on and if any of the split rumours are true I believe I would have heard about it on those channels.

I could be completely wrong because I don't know the result, but my educated guess from putting together everything I see and have heard is that Nick's favourite was Britt from the time of their first date and they have not split up.  

we shall see.

I have seen a couple of member on this forum saying they had a great first knowledge and at the finale, they ate their words. So again.... we shall see.

I don't see Daily Mail posting an "exclusive" stating that Nick is not with his F1 unless they know. 

For all their clickbait, DM like to be in the know of things and usually are and have been proven to know these past years. 

Imo DM has verifiable sources and the fact that they haven't stopped saying that Nick is not with anyone post-show and that Ten hasn't even bothered to deny it is very telling imo.

Agreed.  Any other journalist and I'd roll my eyes but Jo's usually pretty sharp IMO.  I can't see her backing this scenario unless she's confident it's true.

I do think that Nick is still with F1, Tho the realtionship is probably not serious... at all.
I am going to be watching the next two weeks very carefully because i believe up until now (on the show) Nick has not been very interested in any of the girls. Something significant must happen if he is in love by FRC.... things definitely steam up between him and Sophie and her edit so far has been very dark horse / late runner.

imo if Britt is F1 i am going to need some convincing that she isn't just default/easy choice. I don't see anything from the scaps and the kiss on the lighthouse doesn't look passionate or romantic.. nick is pulling a funny face and leaning away from her...... a LOT of convincing to do (which will be almost impossible if they're going to air Nicks make out shesh with Sophie and then Brooke under the waterfall)

IA. I think Jo along with quite a few media people are well aware of what's going on and did their homework before writing an "Exclusive". DM were correct about Matty J and Laura and about Sophie and Stu too as well as others with their pre-finale exclusives and articles - Pretty credible track record   

I don't care for DM but they were totally correct about Stu and Sophie and them faking their relationship last year imo. Everything about Soph/Stu post-show was fake looking and staged imo and I can't forget how Sophie looked at Stu in that pap pic like she couldn't stand him. So many who personally knew Sophie said she was faking it - they were totally right imo. No way imo that their relationship was real post-show and that Sophie and Stu couldn't fake it for more than 3 months after a lot of BS about how they are each other's loves etc. Then three months later a totally different tune.

That is why I am taking DM more seriously this time around. I think DM know. And tbh I never expected an outcome other than Nick being single as soon as he was cast, purely because he is a celeb lead. I haven't been invested at all and have barely watched this season because I never believed, before they even filmed, that a celeb lead was ever even 1% interested in finding someone on this show. 

While I am not watching for lasting love (because it's a miracle if it happens) I'd at least like to think there's a 1% chance the lead is actually there to find love and I don't believe it at all with these celeb leads. If Nick proves me wrong, great. But I won't hold my breath.

@Bachbee, I was the source () so yes, DM are not usually reliable.  However Jo Scrimshire is different IMO - she actually seems to do some independent research.  

Re: Sophie, I have noticed in past seasons the Lead usually gets very physical with the F2.  There is absolutely no way she's F1 on the back of the edit she's got, IMO.

So Nick is going to pretend they are still together? Why else would he refer to her in his IG stories.. "The Misso" (i actually thought he said "missSoph"). Idk.. i think he is with F1 but they are not serious at all or have agreed to not officially start a realtionship until after FRC airs. I am also thinking about how Nicks Brother commented on the DM article that it is BS

same pattern every season with F2 internationally.

late interest. late date. seems to have an incredible chemistry and fun together. generally sporty activities or adrenaline activities. and at top 2, it becomes extremely physical.

while F1 get less glitter but more talk moments and more romantic like beaches and kiss in the sea on sunset.

same old same old.... this is why for me sophie was never F1 in my mind.

I wouldn't say DM are not credible at all. They've actually been proven pretty credible when it comes to pre-finale exclusives. They were correct about Matty J/Laura and they kept writing how they were still together and meeting up etc. That ended up correct. With Sophie and Stu they said that he was F1 and that they had split and were faking it post-show or at least Sophie was. Many in the biz who knew Sophie said the same and personally I think the ones that didn't were protecting her. End result was Sophie for all her praise about being so genuine, mature, real etc had the shortest Bette relationship out of all the seasons and her actions never matched her words imo. DM were correct on that score too I think.

Sure I think DM loves clickbait articles with nonsense but when it comes to them trying to spoil something regarding finales they will do a lot to find out (Sam Frost and Sasha pictures anyone ). As for stories they get from the forum or elsewhere, I definitely think DM does this deliberately so as to make it seem like they're not spoiling and can cite someone else but they often do it when it fits their narrative and what they know from inside sources.

That week when TPTB were trying to deny Matty & Laura had been papped coming home from a SHV, and DM just kept doubling down and printing more and more articles, was absolutely hilarious!  They were like two children squabbling in a playground.

It seems to me like DM toes the line for a certain amount of time, they buy the pap pics and get the clicks on their articles, and then about a couple of weeks before the finale, the gloves come off, and they just hit us with all the dirt they can possibly dig up.  

In the past, they've used our posts selectively to justify publishing information they've already got, IMO.  E.g. Laura and the bloody Queen of parallel parking - how many times did they use that?  Because they knew she won but couldn't just say so, IMO.

Oh my. I step away from the computer for an hour and there is heaps to read. @stoneleigh keep sleuthing. You may just be right. We all have different sources and different talents. We keep on sleuthing.
