Lifetime has announced two “Married at First Sight” spinoffs, both of which will premiere this fall, the network announced at the Television Critics Association summer 2018 press tour on Thursday.

The first spinoff, “Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island,” will see previous “Married at First Sight” participants get a second chance at finding love. In eight, one-hour episodes, 20 singles — some previous fan favorites included — are invited to an island to connect with the other participants and see if they fall in love. By the end of their stay, couples must decide to break up or get married.

I saw an article about this show which said the cast members of this show would be a mix of past MAFS participants, those from the MAFS casting process that weren't matched up and other available single people. It sounds very interesting -- hopefully, it can kind of be a parody like BIP is. I also hope that marriage on the show isn't the expected goal, but rather people connecting and getting to know each other romantically. JMO.

I read that this show has the participants/couples decide at the end of the show if they are going to get engaged or leave separately. It sounds like it is the "BIP" version of MAFS.

The last episode aired this week in the USA, ours will be next week. The repeated one for us not sure why???
Here are the results, I know I'm probably the only one that watched it which is too bad. I think it was way better produced than BIP, but of course , in my opinion.

Jona posted today that they finished filming 4 months ago and had to keep it a secret. So cute he posted, "She said yes'!! My favorites!! She reminded me of myself when I was her age.

@Brill Thanks for the update! If it was a success perhaps they'll have another season and more interest if there are positive reviews.

I watched it also.

Eric's gal was Katie and he left her a note in their room. She was waiting for him in the gazebo and he never showed up. They showed him packing his bags and leaving with his suitcase while she was in the gazebo.

I just wished they would have done an actual update of the status of the couples (like Marriage Boot Camp does).

Brandin posted this on her IG today.  She is in Colorado with Jona, where he is from. Awwww, adorable!!!

Just a heads up for anyone interested:  

Chris and Jada have decided they are best as friends.

Last night Brandin announced that they decided, as she says, to put their engagement on hold.  Whether they will still see each other or not, it doesn't look like it.  Jona said a couple of days ago they are working on giving an update for their fans so it sounds like they had to negotiate with TPTB to do so.  He said he is an honest guy and he wants to be honest with the fans.  Maybe MAFS wanted them to wait until the new weddings were shown on Season 8.

Update-- Jona has stated that they are no longer together and he is struggling with it. He says his family is helping him through this. Awww, he was definitely in love with her, you could see that. He said some beautiful things to her when he was proposing. I hope he finds his forever soon.

Kimber and Shannon were just in Hawaii for a few days but she says they have not made any plans for a wedding so that may go by the wayside, as well.
