Not sure where to put this - can anyone prove Squire is gone for the reason job reason stated? Wasn't it about the same place last season when Paige left because Tribble and her are just friends? TOTALLY speculation - but any chance Squire could be the next "Bachelor" for next SWA season? A firefighter is always a come-on; lots of comments in boards about his looks. Just a thought that should be easy to put to rest??? I know we're all looking for Bubba if he isn't F1 but he might not be willing?

That is something we should keep our eyes on. He is also from Alabama. I want Bubba to become the next lead, but Austin seems like a great guy too. I think you might be on to something.

Interview with 'Sweet Home Alabama' bachelorette Paige Duke

On current episodes of CMT's "Sweet Home Alabama," Paige Duke may be still looking for her Prince Charming, but the show has long wrapped and life has gone on for the girl from South Carolina. She's still working at Kruger Farms, she's still a vet tech and ... she's still together with the man she chose at the end of filming.

In other words, we may not know exactly how this fairytale ends, but we know that, at least so far, it has a happy ending.

Duke took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to dish on this season of "Sweet Home Alabama" as it's unfolding for the first time for her eyes, as well as ours. Which is a bit odd, even for a veteran of the series.

"I'm seeing them as y'all are seeing them," says Duke. "I kind of know what each episode consists of, but sometimes I don't even actually remember things till I see the little trailer on the 'Sweet Home Alabama' Facebook page ... I never know how it's going to be put together and what they're going to show and what they're going to take out, so it's always just as fun for me as everybody else, even though I know what's going to happen.

"It's very surreal seeing myself on TV with friends and family being around me and putting all my emotions out there and thinking, what did I get myself into?"

It's no secret most so-called "reality" shows tend to be not so real, but Duke wanted to be sure she was honest on the show, wearing her emotions on her sleeve at times.

"I'm glad I didn't hold back and I'm glad I decided to not worry about what people think, because I wanted it to be a wonderful show and I wanted it to be real and hopefully it's gonna be inspirational to a lot of people and give a lot of people hope in finding love.

"I'm glad I tried to put myself out there," she says, "but every weekend I have to relive all these emotions and they were real, and it wasn't just a walk in the park like the second season was."

Duke was on the other side of the fence on season 2 of "Sweet Home Alabama," as one of the ladies vying for the love of their bachelor, Tribble Reese, but she never really made a connection with him and wasn't too worried about being sent home, save the friendships she made.

But this season is a whole other story.

As the bachelorette being sought after this season, she had to remain relatively in the dark about what went on in the house during the filming. But she's not as surprised about finally seeing all the house drama now as you might expect -- she didn't witness most of the things that happened, but she often heard about it secondhand during the filming.

And, let's face it -- when you put 22 guys from different backgrounds in a three bedroom house with no phone, no internet, and no TV, you're creating a volatile situation. As Duke says, "Of course drama is going to happen, of course fights are going break out."

But Duke's role was no picnic either, as she found herself in the new position of being the one to send guys home each episode, which was by far the hardest thing she had to do.

"I don't like to hurt people feelings, so I try to let them go as easy as I can. It's a very hard thing to look someone in the eye and tell them they aren't the one for you. Regardless of if their feelings are real or not, in the moment their feelings are real and they've developed such great friendships in the house and it's sad to leave, I know how that feels ... so it's always sad to have to tell them that. It's not like I want to hurt anyone's feelings and if they really do have strong feelings for me, I know how bad heartache hurts. And so I just try to be very sensitive and very compassionate with them. I still get to talk to them on Twitter and Facebook and on my phone so I don't think any of them are too mad at me!"

Her favorite part of watching the episodes now is seeing all the things the guys have to say after the dates. On the other hand, her least favorite is having her current boyfriend also seeing all the things those guys had to say about her dates, and the dates themselves.

And yes, her boyfriend is the bachelor she picked on the show. Of course, who that is can't be revealed till all is said and done, but it seems for once a dating show has actually resulted in a love match.

And as much as she hates to admit it, even Duke was a bit surprised.

"I fell in love and I feel ridiculous saying it, but I didn't go on the show expecting to find love," she says. "But I was like, if there's a one percent chance that God has the man of my dreams on this show, then I might as well go ahead and take it. But I wasn't expecting it because the odds aren't very high and it usually doesn't work out. And so I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment ... but I was hoping to find love and I just ended up being the girl it happened to. What are the odds?"
