Doing a Google search brings up one guy in particular who has a strong resemblance to Chops IMO - possibly a brother or other family member (won't post pics in case I'm wrong)
I'm betting Chops is from a wool farming family in WA.

If he's a sports journalist he's likely to be good on the mic - I'm betting he'll do a lot of narration this season.
On the downside, I do not care for the sportsballs, so may have to find a new favourite.

Will 'Lamb Chop' win Ali Oetjen's heart? A new Bachelorette contestant has been revealed as aspiring sports broadcaster Daniel Hobley
Ali Oetjen has a host of single men vying for her attention on The Bachelorette.
And this week the identity of another contestant has been revealed.
According to The Bachelor and Bachelorette Spoiler Forums, aspiring sports broadcaster Daniel Hobley is one of the show's participants.
His family business would explain why, in the trailer that aired on Wednesday, he greeted Ali for the first time holding a lamb.
On his Twitter account, Daniel described himself as an 'aspiring sports broadcaster / boundary rider with a love for footy and cricket.'
Daniel's bio also revealed that he has appeared on NITV and local radio stations.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Daniel and Network Ten for comment.

I'm still chuckling about it.
Yeah I don't think Ali will pick him either (not "PERFECT" enough no doubt), but IMO he'll have good chat skills from working on the mic so he'll hang round a while to do some funny narration I reckon.
