Arie Luyendyk Jr - Lauren Burnham - Bachelor 22 - Discussion #4

I’m ok that their BN impact diminishes, and I think Arie mostly wanted the story out there of what happened during the breakup shoot.  

@Lucas15, I agree with your entire post.  It was pretty clear to me there was one major edit and conversation with production cut.  I’m glad the reporter, at least, printed Arie’s confirmation of that.

I read the whole article too and I got the impression too that he probably mainly wanted the whole truth out there about the Becca breakup. I don't think he cares as much about the other stuff.

These two are up to their LiAr-nanigins again? Like bugs to a light, these two can’t avoid the open mouth and insert foot syndrome. Makes for fun convo imo. What Libby wants, Libby is going to get. Can’t see them living a HEA , wedding or no wedding. Jmo

They get butt hurt being asked about the show. Like alrighty then. 

Without the show, literally no one GAF about you. Literally, the only reason anyone wants to here about Joe nobody in AZ and his dimwit child bride is bc of The Bachelor, so yeah, of course they are gonna be asked about it. 

Maybe instead actually watch the content in question, understand what might be asked, and come up with answers that work and guide the convo elsewhere. Otherwise, you know, putting your money where your mouth is, denying interviews and actually living that private life is also an option here.

So he said he didn't know that they passed on a TV wedding and thinks they did because of all the hate they are getting and didn't want people to "hate watch" the wedding so they went private to have privacy.

I just can't with these two anymore. Crying over articles written and changing their minds whether they watched the finale or not. jmo.

Just read the GQ article. Hilarious that they were the ones who agreed to do the interview and allowed the interviewer into their space but when they get asked a few questions; they're being "bullied." Its not like the interviewer is asking something speculative or adding 2+2 and getting 5. She wanted to discuss concrete statements that were said on the show. IMO Arie and Lauren are dumb and naive so I'm not surprised they couldn't handle that.

Also thought it was impressive that the interviewer still paints a very fair picture of them and tries to absolve Arie in a lot of ways despite his very rude and abrupt cancellation. All JMO

That doesn't sound like to me Arie said they passed on a TV wedding. I never thought for once that he passed on a wedding, but was clarifying it's in January, it's private, meaning it's not on TV. Nothing indicated to me that they declined an offer.

IMO, there was no offer to decline.

JMHO but the TV weddings the show has had have all been - at least to some extent - exploitative and the show has made some sort of a spectacle out of what should be an intimate romantic experience. Even Trista & Ryan's wedding had cringe-worthy moments. The pinnacle of crass was, IMO, the "consummation countdown" from Sean & Catherine's wedding. And the guest lists are chock full of "Bachelor Nation celebs" that probably never were nor ever will be friends the couple will stay close to in their real lives. I think one of the smartest decisions Arie & Lauren have made is to get married when and where and how THEY want so the memories they have of their wedding day will be of things they want to remember.
