He walked the red carpet alone then also posed with 2 couples (1 being Colton & Cassie) and the charity host. He also was seated with them during the event.
Doubtful we’ll find out anything more related to his caption which is causing quite the stir in his IG comment section .

The other couple are JR Bourne & Emmanuelle Chriqui (she’s in white). Grace Rose is the charity event host. She is between the couple.
The event is a Grace Rose Foundation fashion show for children and youth plus some awards. Colton was a recipient and Nick presented to him. Ticket $ went to support CF and mental health.

Correction: clearer vid has been posted by some attendees of the fashion show. Nick and his date were sitting together. .

The link below is from memories on The Uganda Project. Worth watching as it shows not only segments of volunteer activities with children but also how she as a volunteer lived in basic local housing while there. Eye opening.
