Nick was at Scott Ratner’s (sports entertainment producer) b-day party last night. He (guy from Nick’s birthday) was one of the organizers of the 50K Charity (basketball charity event) that Nick participated in. The party was mostly guys involved in sports entertainment except for a woman carried the cake and Julliet Litman who is a mutual friend. It was low key.
There has always been some sentiment that LA as a residence is somehow all about wannabe glitz however it seems like an ordinary place on a human social level to me. It’s all about the social circles you develop and how those circles socialize.
It’s been interesting seeing the various friend networks Nick has acquired.

Mary Anne Bargen, who was at Nick’s birthday, posted a pic of the Moonlight Rollorway as well as IG stories. Nick was roller skating in 1 of her vid as he was in his own IG vid.
Mary Anne’s caption is about being there with a film crew from her workplace and this seems to be a special project of hers. She used to be a producer at Chatter (People TV) - not sure if she is. She also seems to have work ties to E Network or ET.
Anyhoo, Nick might have just been there to watch or might be involved with her project. Something to watch for.

Great podcast! The world needs more Jasons! He would pick up the phone and speak directly, rather than just text! I resent Jared's comment that 30 years ago people, just got married without seeking their soul mate. Just shows his age with that comment. Thought Nick came off very reserved in the podcast - he seems to have been turned down quite a bit when approaching women. Why can't someone set him up with a wonderful woman?

I think Nick is more reserved in manner while Jason is very extroverted and more black & white in his thinking. He said he might give up too easy while Nick was talking about being persistent so perhaps they both need a slightly more of a middle ground. Nick also said his female friends were also experiencing the same thing - finding someone they were interested in dating and getting a first date so it sounds like he’s just experiencing what is normal in today’s dating culture. Jason also said likewise at the beginning of the podcast so Buffalo/Seattle sounds just as jumbled as LA.
Jason saying he prefers to be pursued would have made him a good Bach as that would be his ideal. (I’m still sulking over Colton being lead ).

@notarose I sent the link to one of my sons who is married to his work and just can't summon the energy to pursue dating in this environment. The discussion on how social media emphasizes the pursuit of perfection in everything is a turn off to him. He is very smart and very successful and has lots of interests. He has been a very good bf in the past. Just too involved with his career to play the dm and who texts back first type of games.
