Have to disagree on the bold, I do not agree that the comparison is invalid. This is because while Blake had Colton/Jason tagged, Jason's video (the one compared) had Garret/Colton tagged. The combination of Garrett/Colton has 200K more combined IG followers than Jason/Colton, plus Garrett being part of the final couple has more appeal IMO right now.

Regardless even if you take the video out, all of the last three pics Blake beat 100K likes, Jason didn't for any, as I prefaced above a lot of factors and does not indicate who the bachelor will be. IMO

I will take away the dance video and reluctantly agree. I think my absolute sense of foreboding is affecting my judgement. I’m starting to feel like we will be stuck with Blake and miss out on the amazing and IMO far superior choice of Jason and I really want to pull my hair out and scream. Regardless, I will watch and support anyone but Peter.

@chgohighlife - I think the opposite for Jason/Blake but such is life. At this point I think it’s Jason, just because of his last minute decline for SD with Colton/Blake, and I think that video with Garrett was recent (this week) giving me the sense that Jason is in LA.

I find it interesting that Becca continues to talk about wanting Jason to be the Bachelor. It would be so easy for her to promote Blake for the role and say what a great guy he is and that he’d make a great Bachelor, etc. etc. But she doesn’t. I’m thinking that maybe TPTB are asking her to do this — particularly this latest E! News piece from yesterday. What do others think?

Unfortunately, IA, that they likely made her do it. IMO, I would hope that's it and not that is campaigning for Blake on her own. IMO, she should be classy and stay neutral with the "Any of he guys would be great and all deserve to find love. I'm glad I'm not the one making the decision," type answer. Because IMO it makes no sense why the reasons she gives in article reflect Jason and his personality and approach vs. Blake's. I could give lots of examples, but I won't go all into it and make this post even longer.

What really doesn't make sense though is: If you have such a special place in your heart for him, why did you send him home before Blake? Why didn't you fall in love with him? Why did you freak out so much when he talked about your future and it all made you so uncomfortable that you are having a panic attack in the streets talking to producers? How does he get the edge on how "comfortable" he'll make ALL the girls feel....when all you ever said about Blake was how comfortable he made you feel, and how he put you at such ease and you could be yourself? In what way did Jason in any way show that he was more "fun" and "exuberant" than Blake or that he would go "all in on every single date"? So, did Blake not go all in when he smashed all of Arie's stuff with you? (and pretty crappy date he got that focused on her ex in the first place but he was a very exuberant partner) Was Blake not all in by telling you he loved you before the other guys? Was he not all in when he got your fave artist to perform for you in a private concert? Was he not "all in and very positive and humorously taking it in stride when he went on a crappy date where he couldn't touch or kiss you after not seeing you in over a week? Was he not "all in" when he was honest that he was worried she had stronger connection with other guys? Was he not "all in" to propose even though he was scared she wasn't going to pick him? Was he not "all in" when he once again got a crappy "bike riding and hang on the beach" date when Garrett got to go bobsledding, kayaking and swim with dolphins with her out in the ocean (something she ironically said/foreshadowed in a ITM when leaving either FS or the FD). Was he not "all in" when he was vulnerable enough to show his real emotions and tears after she blindsided him and broke his heart (rather than putting on the tough guy front that can't show emotion or not be really genuinely in love with her therefore couldn't show real emotions). I have seen some comments on the site about how OTT he was with excitement and being too deep in his feelings for her too quickly after knowing her a short time. So, this article really disappoints me, and I am really disappointed in Becca bc IMO she at least owed Blake the decency in not "picking a side" especially after how classy he was on AFTR IMO and you could see on his face how he was sincerely happy that she was so happy.

And for the post from @sbolduc with all the stats, thank you so much for that. I have been keeping similar ( a little less thorough) stats for awhile now. Blake's engagement is definitely hire than Jason's per the stats above...and also when you include how many more comments Blake consistently gets on his posts. IMO, there is an "appearance" that Jason is wanted by more people bc a couple of big names in Bach franchise have endorsed him through SM and then Becca in this interview. Ben Higgins and Nick V. have both endorsed Blake many, many times in podcasts, and I saw Nick in at least one tv interview...can't remember where it is now. However, they aren't tweeting about it. IMO, it could be because they were asked not to endorse him publicly whereas Ashley I and Becca and Molly and Jason M are endorsing Jason publicly. IMO, it is impressive how close the race is between them when IMP Blake is doing ZERO campaigning and not being too present on SM in ways that scream: "Hey, wouldn't I make a great Bachelor?" posts and tweets and stories and events and sightings with very top tier Bach people where he posts about it. Blake hasn't live-tweeted since BIP was on, and Jason was going after it last night, and he also keeps RTing and commenting on endorsements Bach franchise people make for him, including Becca's: https://twitter.com/Jason_Tartick/status/1034886673958498304

So, hoping it's Blake. IMO, Jason is just really starting to give me a "used-car salesman" vibe with all these slick, scripted answers where IMO he is trying to come off as "unassuming" but is actually coming off in the complete opposite way. IMO his look also reminds me of John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever.... I really liked Jason on the show. I liked Blake more, but Jason was the guy I most wanted with her to choose other than Blake. Post-show I have been very disappointed in Jason and Becca and even more and more impressed with Blake in the way he has handled himself. IMO Blake's actions speak much louder than Jason's words whether in an interview, podcast or SM. I am more than ready for them to announce. I do see some things that point to its being Jason IMO, but there are also things that point to its being Blake IMO. Hopefully we'll know next week even though BIP finale is Sept. 11th I thought I saw somewhere.

They don't actually follow them, however nothing is stopping them from scoping anyone out if they know the contestant will be cast. While there are some exceptions, they don't typically know who will be cast.

To keep this on topic, and not comparing who Becca choose or didn't choose because it's not important especially in this thread, the lead always recommends their choice for the next lead. Whether they are told to or not makes little difference IMHO because they will choose who they want based on many factors, and not someone the former lead supported.

I don't get Jason being like a "used car salesman" and IMO there's nothing wrong with that occupation as I know many of them. While sleuthing Jason, he looks exactly the same, and his character appears the same to me. He appears genuine to me, not fake. He talks the way he talks because that's the way he is IMHO, he's not trying to prove anything. That's him. He's a professional who can speak confidently and that's how he comes across to me.

As far as Blake is concerned, I don't see a lead being emotionally invested a problem. If they don't get the drama out of an emotional lead, they'll make him emotional by playing head games.
