Blake Horstmann - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

IMO Becca and every lead should do what their heart wants, to me it's as simple as that.



I would like Blake as the next lead too!

Welp. This is another Jilly-Ed-Reid or, for better or worse, Andi-Josh-Nick triangle again for me

Sorry if this sounds creepy. I really hoped Becca didn't do the deeds with Blake in the FS, but i highy doubt that it was the case. My reasoning : 1) his wording on his first IG post-filming, with "fool" and #heregoesnothing. 2) a comment on reddit about him watching an IG story of a Becca Fan account when he was still radio silent. 3) RS report that he got the last FS, which usually saved for the past F1s since Des. (Arie was the last one on Em season as well, so take it as you will...). 4) The HTD footage where she was all over him IMO. 5)  Becca saying she did fall with 2 guys at the end.

His post also exuded different vibe than Jason's which was more upbeat and tagged B in there. I assume nothing went down in the FS with J and B .

Blake being a mountain CO guy reminds me of Ryan Sutter and Benji, who are sensitive guys by their own admissions. So..yeah.. IDK, i just suspect that being sensitive,  he is still really hurting rn. Interesting that he followed Nick on IG. Maybe he could reach out to Nick for some advice, which i am sure include to not bringing up a FS saga at ATFR in any way or forms (Nick sit down with Andi on his season revealed that it was his biggest regret). So, maybe thats an upper note , i guess? .  

I hope he can heals in time with the help of his loved ones. Perhaps consider TB if getting offered, for my own amusement. As someone who is devoted to skip any Bach season, i will make an exception for Blake

Blake just started following Bibiana from Arie's season.

Is he pre qualifying his cast of women?

I think this season is basically going to be a Jillian Harris Redux. Granted I was in the minority and couldn’t stand Reid... but Blake, meet Reid. This is your role.

Can you explain what you mean by this?? I didn't watch Jillian's season so I don't know what happened

I'm not getting the Reid reference either. He was F3 and came back during the FRC.

Yes, Reid was F3, but he basically had the strongest connection with Jill outside of her F1, Ed. Kiptyn (her F2, and let’s call Jason the new Kiptyn) was basically a non-entity. Switzerland if you will. That season was very polarizing between Ed and Reid. Reid was extremely, EXTREMELY popular. Ed wasn’t, but he and Jill’s fans were very loyal, and it was total board wars with the Ed camp pitted against the Reid camp. Brutal. Ed had tons of BTS scandal, and was of course F1. Reid didn’t have the scandal and most wanted Jilly to go back to him. He was also a front runner for Bachelor and was nearly cast in the role, but couldn’t agree to terms with TPTB. 

Becca just reminds me so much of Jill. I think Blake will be very popular and be in the Reid role this time. Garrett is Ed.

I actually think Garrett will be well-liked (unless they change the edit up), from what RS has said about the premiere episode (said he's super likable and dorky and funny) and what CH has said about him. He seems to be getting the Peter type edit to me, the "will he be able to open his heart and propose after getting a divorce?". I think Blake will be the fun, goofy, solid, lovable guy who isn't too multi-dimensional and universally liked...maybe similar Dean or Zak.

I feel like Reid was just in a league of his own, because we really haven't had that type of neurotic, dorky, witty type since (Nick came close) and I don't really see Blake as that type. I think he's just being compared to Reid because of the Becca/Jillian similarity, but I don't see anything else yet just because I think other F2s have fallen hard and almost every Bachelorette sleeps with multiple people (jilly said she slept with all three).

I do think Reid was the real F2. Even recently Jillian said he was her favorite because he was her best friend and the one regret she has is that she wished she had gotten more closure with him. IMO.

Oh God, so off topic ... but to this day I can’t stand overrated Reid.

Haha, he's one of my all-time faves and Jilly/Reid is my biggest "what if"s from the franchise. I hate or am apathetic towards most fan favorites though so I totally get it!

I get it! Nick/Andi is probably my biggest “what if.” Entire storylines and total arch’s would be completely changed if Andi had gone with her “strong mental connection” and taken Nick out of commission.
