Where can I find Rachel’s article about Becca’s season?

Yeah, I find that so ridiculously dramatic. Pretty sure at least 40% of the actual finale was Bryan footage. I'm sure there are things they didn't show that she wishes they had, but the way she's talking, you'd think they just showed the breakup with Peter and ended the show right there. What I think she means is that they didn't show enough to get everyone on Bryan's side, but that's never going to happen. Even this year, despite Garrett getting a good edit, like @Aria said the Blake fandom is strong. I was browsing reddit earlier and Becca was getting criticised left and right for picking wrong, being mean to Blake and for saying things she didn't even say IMO. And I thought she was a total sweetheart towards her F2 unlike most Bachelorettes of recent years. It is what it is. I know Rachel said she didn't watch the show before going on Nick's season, so maybe she just doesn't realise what most seasons are like hers. I really think she would benefit from watching some past seasons. Would perhaps put things in perspective for her. JMO.

Basically it boils down to she’s pissed that she perceives Becca got a better deal than she did. She was only there to support Becca if she got $hit on. So basically, she was there to make sure Becca had a bad time. Cool. Nice person. Not. Also, for someone going on and on about supporting Becca’s choice, she sure was pimping Blake the last few weeks. That’s hypocritical. 

I’ve said this about Kaitlyn a million times and it applies here too: if she’s truly happy with Bryan, then all the other noise doesn’t/shouldn’t matter. She’s one of the 15% leaving this show with a real partner. Like my God. What else do you want? You can make a living off this show now. You can travel everywhere. You have name recognition. Half a million followers. And a life partner. What else are you expecting here? Take your blessed life and sit down.

I also don’t think she gets the irony of her statements. Where was her outcry of unfairness when they made Nick’s ATFR all about her imo

Becca got dumped and humiliated on tv while her post engagement time with Arie was spent with him texting/calling Lauren.

So yeah, I'd say Becca got the worst of it.

Bryan was given much less than 40%. After we spent an hour wrapping up fantasy suites and Eric's reunion, a full hour of Rachel's finale was spent on Peter, I counted. We spent 40 minutes on the breakup and then 2 segments in the studio with Rachel and Peter on the couch (in addition to teasing the BIP Demario nonsense). I really don't think she's wrong in blaming the format of the live finale for the way that she was treated, of and for being blindsided.  You can tell by the way her actual episode minus the ATFR was edited that without the studio bits she was edited with a nice enough happy ending.

Her strong reaction is that of someone who knows deep down she was treated differently because of her race/gender, but spent an entire year trying to convince herself and others that wasn't the case, that it was just television. A year later to see the Bachelorette i.e. Becca being treated like a princess once again, to have the entire production out to protect both Becca and her pick's questionable behavior instead of exploiting it, is demoralizing. One of the burdens of being a black women is knowing that if you stand up for yourself there is a risk that people will mistake your directness for anger, and then use that to discredit everything else.   Part of her bitterness has to be from realizing in this moment how naive she was in her expectation of how she would be treated, and now she has decided to use her "platform" to speak out about it.

I'm sure US Weekly was glad to let her do it. I'm glad she did too.

Again, Rachel is only comparing finales, when she should also compare her road to Bachelorette vs Becca's, particularly the Arie finale which you could argue was just as cruel, if not more. I think this stems from jealousy and insecurity over still not being an it couple, esp after thinking people were gonna love Bryan, not race or gender, and I say that as a fellow WOC. Their reception as a couple as a sore spot and I get why, but at some point you just need to move on and live that best life you were talking about, and not harp on your finale or Peter every chance you get. As with Kaitlyn, people were sympathetic until she doth protest too much, and Rachel is reaching that point

I love big Rach, but she is so out of touch in this article, she says Becca's finale was void of controversy. But Becca's WHOLE season was marred by controversy!

I just don't think she was treated differently because of her race (gender? maybe, as the show has always treated Bachelorettes differently than Bachelors, but Rachel is comparing herself to a fellow woman). I think that if you put any other Bachelorette in Rachel's place, who spent 4 hours fighting with her F2 about a proposal and crying about it and repeatedly kissing him and saying ILY, they would have gotten exactly the same finale as Rachel did. It's just more compelling TV. After all, what was the focus with Des's finale? Her getting dumped by Brooks and trying to see if she could over it in order to move on. She also never had ITMs talking about how excited she was to accept a proposal; it was all about Brooks. And, in the AFR and subsequent interviews, Des was asked about Brooks over and over again. That's the closest comparison, because Des was the last 'ette who was similarily devastated in that same way Rachel was. 

And, I also just don't buy that the show was protecting Becca and her F1. If this was a sexy scandal, like him having cheated, they would be playing it up like no other. It's just that casting bigots doesn't make the show look good and is a PR disaster, so they're going to try to downplay it. I absolutely don't think Becca was treated like a princess (they brought out her abusive ex, filmed her being dumped by her fiancé, made her watch her ex-fiancé propose to another woman, gave her a cast full of two sexual harassers and one guy convicted of assault/battery). Other than Emily Maynard, no Bachelorette has gotten treated like a princess. They've all gotten treated like sh*t, in some way or another. I think that Rachel just doesn't like that the finale made her look desperate and like she picked her second choice and she is blaming that for Bryan/Rachel not being a fan favorite couple. And I think it has nothing to do with that. They were never going to be massively popular, no matter how that finale went. But who cares?

Further, IMO ABC is just covering asap for yet another failure to properly conduct due diligence to protect their Bachelorette. They let Becca be confronted with Garrett, an apparent bigot, Leo a soft porn star and alleged sexual harasser and Lincoln, an actual convicted criminal and she apparently knew nothing about any of it until her season ended and she had chosen Garrett. So now, her extreme happiness is both supported by people who love them for all the wrong reasons or, hate them for a side of him I’m sure she knew nothing about when she was falling in love with him. Nevertheless, Becca is soldiering on in a fashion I find admirable. 

Rachel has things she can be upset about if she wants to be stuck with no resolution because what’s done is done and I agree with those who believe she’s not going to get a Dream Wedding to fix it. I personally was disgusted with tptb for the lousy way they handled her actual proposal in a wind tunnel. However, much of the rest of what went wrong falls directly on her. She behaved like an obsessed brat and as much as I did and still do like her I just need for her to get over it and for both her and Bryan to return to real life. Bach Bubble playtime is over for them. It’s over for most of them. The smart ones have found a way to monetize their fifteen minutes. Good for them. There are no movie or, media stars created so far. Sooner rather than later it’s time to wrap up running in circles and implement a real plan. All JMO.
