I agree with you that she is just being herself and I don't think she is wrong but when you are part of a couple, it's not just about what's good for you anymore. I think she gets it coz she had stopped engaging and for a while, that reduced the hate under her and Bryan's comment section IMO. The trolls couldn't get her to respond to their Peter comments so it died down IMO. IMO All she needs to do is ignore the Bryan related negative comments as well and they would die down too IMO. Even if it goes against her nature, IMO that is the best thing to do.

I completely agree with you there, but becoming a unit and losing some of your old habits doesn't happen over night. IMO that is what she is working on, and is a gradual change that has been coming. IMO but since it is her nature it will take some time for it to happen, IMO thats why i say she does it now and again. IMO it shows growth.

IMO I think we're exaggerating a bit the amount that Rachel has clapped back recently. I do follow her SM activity daily (yes I need to get a life), and she rarely responds to negative comments. IMO she actually seems to have this every other week burst of responses where she replies to a couple of fans' comments -- usually with "thank you" -- and then she claps back at one random negative comment.  IMO more often than not she actually deletes the negative comments on her page as it pertains to her relationship with Bryan and whether it's real or not, or will last or not. Lately I'm actually surprised when I see her clap backs because they seem pretty rare, and IMO I think it's Bryan that's keeping her focused and in check.

So just watched their IG live. Thoughts? Rachel seemed almost annoyed about doing it. The format was weird and felt produced and awkward with someone else recording them. Now, I can't say that I've ever really seen it with them but they seemed kinda off. Their favourite thing about each other was also telling (Rachel couldn't come up with anything, Bryan said she's hilarious)... also felt like there were a few passive aggressive digs at each other, not as playful as they probably hoped? Idk.

i saw it as well. Rachel hates the platfrom, she seemed on edge and did not feel comfortable. once it wasn't a question attacking them she relaxed, when it was something like the work question she got edgy again. As rachel said she is tired of the cameras IMO AND I think it extended to all platforms of filiming, IMO.  She worries A LOT of what other people think and say IMO. she was adamant that she washappy they were living life without the cameras and under the mircoscope. IMO. I wasn't worried about Rachel not coming up with anything IMO because between the two of them she has always been the one who has said specifics about what she likes about him all along, and Bryan said she is funny, people have always given him crap about not saying something specific. JMO.

If Rachel hates doing the IG lives why did she? They're not a requirement by any means. That just seems stupid IMO.

I'm neutral on these two, but I've never seen a contestant or another couple from this show have someone else record them on social media the way these two do. Kind of strange and forced, but that's just my opinion.

Why do they do things they (seemingly) don't want to do when no one is forcing them? It's like they're child star actors with pushy mom-agers except they're adults in their 30's. When is the slated move to LA where they'll be building careers in healthcare & law?

@zoe06 IMO Rachel does IG live because the fans want it and keep asking for it. Just like when she posted her college pic...she said she saw the request in comments and found a pic to post. I appreciate this about Rachel. She clearly doesn't like IG live but still chooses to share with fans. I just wish fans would come up with better questions. I think that's how you engage her with the format - ask something different and unique. Anyway, I thought this IG live was fun. It would have been better if the "interviewers" had been part of it and not disembodied voices off screen. But Bryan and Rachel looked like a normal couple who have been together for years IMO and are very comfortable with each other. I like the fact Bryan said that Rachel is funny (IMO she is hilarious and has a wicked deadpan - a hallmark of any good comedian). I hope they share vids and pics when they go volunteer in Turks and Caicos at the end of the month. Also, Rachel instagramming her commute to work this morning as she said she would in the IG live was awesome! I can't believe she really did it even showing us her nameplate outside her office and her morning Colombian coffee

@Alanna I think Bryan said in the video that after he does his exams they'll head out there. I wonder if Rachel pumped the breaks on moving right away, or was that never the plan? Idk.

Unfortunately, I feel these two have fallen deep into the hellhole of pleasing their fans and trying hard to prove their love which frankly IMO is having the opposite effect. IMO If you don't like doing an IG live, don't do it Rachel. You are not obligated to your fans and there is no need to spend effort to prove haters wrong. They come across so defensive these days IMO. Like all the IG stories from today morning of her going to work - if it wasn't just to prove that she is still employed (JMO).

I will admit that I had a very different image in my mind of how they would be as a couple based on how they both were pre-show. Maybe it's just me but IMO less is more when it comes to SM. Whether a relationship works out or not, IMO the ones who live their life off SM like a regular couple and don't bother with both fans and haters opinions are the ones who have the best shot of a lasting relationship in this franchise. Keeping my fingers crossed for these two and as always, time will tell.
