its so unfair how if bachelor nation people lean the other way they can proudly support it in bachelor nation but if rachel posts a picture of a sports broadcaster she looses a 1000 followers imo

People can be fickle and imo crazy.

Well the majority of the cast leans the same way as the demographic they're appealing to & most of the ones that don't are more than ok staying mute so they don't alienate those followers.

And to think, she was just being accused of only caring about social media and shilling. Oh the irony.

Hey now, *I* never accused her of ONLY caring about social media. I think it's always been clear she's cared about much more as she posted about Charlottesville in the middle of her finale aftermath and auctioned off her clothes for charity and B/R spent time helping out Harvey victims.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with Rachel's addendum (not that it will make much difference). Political posts, especially in this current climate, can get very nasty and messy and I think she just doesn't want that level of nastiness and hate on her page and there's nothing wrong with that. That said, Rachel is not an idiot. There is no way she just randomly decided to post this throwback picture of Jemele right in the middle of what's currently going on with her. That is her showing her support and her description of Jemele is a further show of her support in a very clear and articulate way.

Just because she says her post is not political and essentially is asking to not have negative comments on her page doesn't negate or suddenly diminish the strength of the message. I think a major problem sometimes with major social issues is that there starts to be this idea of there is one right way to fight the system and fight what's wrong and that's not true. People make their voices heard in their own way and Rachel did that with this picture, no matter what edit she made to the caption. JMO.

I think one issue sometimes with serious issues is that there starts to be this idea of there is one right way to fight the system and fight what's wrong and that's not true. People make their voices heard in their own way. JMO.

IMO the addendum WAS unnecessary. Adding that it's not a political post just seems to be trying to appease the people upset & if she's trying to appease them that makes me respect it less. IMO the people who would get upset aren't worth trying to appease anyways. Good thing Jemele really is her role model, she could learn some things. Guess what Jemele never did throughout the entire controversy? Walk any of her comments back, despite all the public pressure to do so. All Jmo.

Rachel did her very first IG live yesterday after being on the
Platform for over a year and now she obsessed with social media?! I'm trying to configure that calculation.
