To me it looks like he was actually shocked that she said it. Imo. In the lead up to it in the car his vo said he wouldn't expect Laura to say it in this setting (tv).

That music had a beat under it - it's really atypical bachelor music. Matty gave a little laugh and smile when Laura said she was falling in love.

Could just be that maybe he felt it was forced on tv. She has only said falling in love with. So hasn't actually said it yet.
