Vanessa Grimaldi and Hockey Player Brendan Gallagher Are Just ‘Hanging Out,’ Source Says

Vanessa Grimaldi and Montreal hockey player Brendan Gallagher may be spending time together, but that doesn’t mean she’s officially got a new man in her life.

After Grimaldi and Gallagher were spotted at brunch in Montreal on Monday, a rep for the reality star confirmed to PEOPLE that “they’ve been talking and hanging out together.”

“They’re cute. It’s all relatively new,” Grimaldi’s rep added.

But a source tells PEOPLE that Grimaldi, 29, “doesn’t have a boyfriend,” and that she and the Montreal Canadiens star, 25, are “friends and they are enjoying hanging out.”

The source adds that Grimaldi, who announced the end of her engagement to The Bachelor star Nick Viall in August, is “not in any rush for a relationship.”

“She’s enjoying taking time for herself, being in Montreal, hanging with her family and friends and focusing on her charity,” the source continues, adding that she “is still working on E! News and doing beauty segments there, so she’s back [and] forth between L.A. and Montreal.”

Looks are subjective but I think he's cute and wouldn't be a "step down" at all, just friends or not. JMO

I agree....and judging by his ig he seems not to take himself too seriously and also appears family-oriented...

I really do not see how she has gone up in the world . IMO Nick is way hotter than this guy and just because he has money does not mean that brings happiness. Yes he seems very accomplished in the world of hockey and that is awesome for him. Nick has nothing to do with polished gent that has been gone for awhile now. He is not staying relevant due to Vanessa and he is getting some good acting gigs and seem to be very happy . I wish the best for both of them in whatever they find. JMO

         -  IMO  -   I am just wondering if Nick is following Wells foot steps of hooking up with Hollywood Celebrities, it seems likely...I think, Nick wants to explore further his options in Showbiz/Entertainment Industries, he could probably end up marrying one...Vanessa is awesome, she looks really great in "The Bachelor of Canada After Show" this week/ Air Date 15 Nov 2017...I just finished watching it @ W Network/ Channel 567; there's another repeat showing around 1:30 AM - 2:00 AM Eastern Standard Time 16 Nov 2017 @ W Network/ Channel 568)......whether this guy is an upgrade or downgrade for Vanessa, I don't think it even matters anymore...I think Vanessa goes for guys with great personalities more than physical looks...if the Hockey Guy is doing Philanthropic work at such an early age (his early 20's)--that says a lot about his personalities, I think, he could be really compassionate too...maybe fun to be with as well...    - JMO  -

I have no idea if Nick is dating any celebrity girls. Nick has done charity work himself since he was very young and just fed the homeless this week for Thanksgiving. This young man seems also to be a great guy . I was just stating since some posters were commenting on his wealth that does not always bring happiness. I wish both of them well and hope they find happiness with whoever makes them feel 
happy.

Regarding the bolded....Do we know for sure that Nick let Vanessa go? Maybe she let him go? Does anyone know? Just curious.

Hi, does anyone know what happened to the sensory rooms that V is planning on building in Montreal schools? TBH I feel that nothing is going on and she possibly catfished the whole thing which would break my heart and make me loose respect for her. I mean people spent hard earned cash for her charity event and I feel that she's constantly jetting off somewhere outside of Montreal instead of focusing on what matters, her students . People donated money for her to help her students, not for her to live the lavish lifestyle that she currently is living. It's been like 4 months since the event and I feel that nothing is going on and I believe that if she was truly passionate about this, she would have already built a sensory room.
