Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Media Social Media - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3

TBH I think in the absence of conclusive spoilers, this forum contributes a lot to things like SportsBet setting prices. I think this is a two way street. They would have to stupid to ignore the sleuthing that goes on here.

The reason that I think about this season is weird is that we haven't really seen any conclusive spoilers with proof. A lot of people are talking about who wins etc but last year I think there was proof going around about both Alex and Lee, which I don't think is the case this year. I know that Sportsbet obviously has access to resources beyond our corner of the internet so they may have better and more definitive evidence than us but usually there are bits that surface here or in the FB group but nothing so far.

This is all IMO.

so many of these girls are thinking the same thing re matty? ? it almost makes me wonder if whoever f1 is if they will last? and if he chooses Elise is it because she was a former hockeyroo player so her profile would help his being an Australian ex Olympian and all??god i hope not!!!!maybe its all crap, but i really hate to say this IMO matty really is starting to feel like a bit of a puppet this season......Damn those US producers ...jmo

Sportbet now have Elise at 3.50!! That's a massive jump am I right? Wasn't she at 9.00 recently? Laura is 1.35

@leapoffaith....IMO this confirms to me that the source of the information flying in the media about Matty not being into any of the girls were from the girls from his season, Leah being one of them IMO as she has now gone on the record saying it. Should be interesting indeed how things fare between Matty and his F1...because as we know the real relationship starts post finale with all the media scrutiny.

I don't think Sportsbet give a damn what we or the audience thinks.  IMO, they know who wins, so why research further?  All that matters is the odds for F1.  People are betting for a winner, so the odds for F2 to F22 are irrelevant - they could have someone at 1000 to one and would only lose money if that person won.

So IMO they set the odds at an amount attractive enough to encourage people to bet, but "realistic" enough to avoid looking like a farce.  IMO F1 is likely to be the person who's odds have been consistently low from the start - minimising Sportsbet's potential loss - and based on the numbers, that can only be said of Laura.

Leah can't really talk about going on a reality TV show to boost your profile. I'd say the vast majority of both the leads and contestants want to boost their profiles. If there's one thing to attack Matty or anyone else with it's definitely not that!!

IMO both Leah and Jen are both salty about their portrayal and/or not developing a relationship as both in the beginning of the airing of the show interviews they both talked about them being really nervous around him and liking him. Imo for Leah her exit episode aired the interviews I listened to and read where all boohoo sl*t sham blah blah blah which isn't even the main reason why she was eliminated. IMO what speaks volumes is they still say he is a good guy and maybe/is not their type. Also, how does Leah even have the knowledge to say what his intentions are if she has said in almost all her interviews that she hardly knew him or got to know him.

Sportsbet seems to be becoming the RS of the Aussie shows. I guess I am not surprised considering the US production team has taken over. I wouldn't be surprised if they put money on the contestants themselves (or their "friends" do). So shady IMO for betting to be allowed like that

@between the lines...I love your name by the way and awesome first post.

Elora is great IMO. We are only sure going by SCs (screen caps) from the season promo and some BTS (behind the scene) pictures that Elora made it to F7.

We don't have any thing definitive on when Elora made it back to SM (social media) other than we know that her first IG post after filming was when most of the other girls started posting about the show.

That being said, both first date girls in Saw W's and Richie's seasons made it to F4. However based on sleuthing we believe that Tara (we got BTS pics of Matty landing at a Gold Coast airport for HTDs (hometown dates)) and we have a SC of Flo that looks like a HTD. So by elimination that leaves 2 spots, most folks believe those remaining spots will go to Laura who is the current front runner and Elise (there is a spoiler out there that she makes it to F2).

When one adds all these up it's hard to see Elora making it to F4, we could obviously be wrong but that's the information we have via sleuthing for now.

Also just my own belief is that the F1 is hardly ever seen partying while the season is ongoing. Elora has been at 2 parties that I am aware of, a YSL party and also the Maxim party just last week. Unfortunately this does not bode well for her as F1 IMO but please keep sleuthing, always good to have fresh eyes and new perspectives. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

@AllAboutLove, Maybe we should start a petition to ban betting on prerecorded shows?! It really takes some of the fun out of sleuthing for me. I feel like I've only got another 4 weeks to guess Sophie's F1 before the show starts and odds are revealed.

I'm not a betting person and I know nothing about odds apart from what I've learnt from this forum. So because of my new found knowledge I have reached the conclusion all sluething is pointless. I base this personal decision on Sportsbet and their odds for the F1 being undeniably, unequivocally, unquestioningly the winner of the bachelor.
I can only say, in my perfect world even Sportsbet wouldn't know the winner . . . but my perfect world doesn't exist
