Idk. To me Peter = Becca, and Bryan = Whitney. In both cases, would Chris/Rachel have gone with the Becca/Peter if they were into them? Instead they go for the sure thing with all the right lines.

That's how I see this crapfest, season 13.

Why does he keep acting like he's the lead with what he's saying?

Why TPTB thought dragging this out so long was good tv I don't know.  Enough is enough.  

Between his tone earlier and the shade about having a mediocre life with someone else, would've had me walking out multiple times on him.

Peter, Peter, Peter. I love you man, but you still need to talk through your emotions with a therapist. This makes me sad for both of them.
