Sleuthing thread for Matty without spoilers.

I'm putting a copy of your post here in case you want to continue non spoiled. I have had a couple of requests suggesting a Non spoiled Category for Matty.

Tara was funny. I think he liked her, but I didn't see much chemistry. She looks like she might be the narrator of the season and the comic relief.
Laura had some chemistry. He said "Wow" and "couldn't even think"... so she might be a frontrunner...plus he pulled her aside first at the cocktail party.
Cobie seemed another one that was fun, but again, didn't see much of a spark.
Simone was skipped over despite the fact that her boobs were about to fall out of her dress. You know she would have gotten a lot more air time on the US show just for that.
Elise, Monica, Laura N, Elizabeth, Stef, Charlene, Stacy, Shawn, Jennifer fast intro. Out quick or MOT. Jennifer is very aggressive and a drama queen. I don't think he really likes her, but I can see her being one that tptb make him keep for the drama.
Natalie is kind of obnoxious. He did not like her or her Instagram stalking although naturally his interest was piqued by the fact that she had dated a woman. "Unique"=weird.
Michelle. He liked her, but I think he was more interested in the fact that she was a police officer...and her car...despite the fact that she got the first rose.
Belinda. Awkward with the minute of silence. Not into her.
Florence and Maddy had a little spark I thought.
Akualina and her ribbon. A little too much ribbon.
Lisa made him lose his train of thought and he thought she was stunning...and was looking after her a lot. She was also the one he took to the secret garden. Lots of sexual attraction, but need to see if there is more there. Definitely a front runner out of the gate.
Leah...hideous dress. Hideous!!! And the porn music. Trying too hard and thinks a lot of herself. I don't think he thought much of her. Not there to make friends=villain.
Elora....now that was an entrance. Some interest there, but maybe because of the fire.

I thought Matty did a good job with the M&G. He seemed really engaged and interested in getting to know the women. I'm looking forward to the next episode and seeing who got the first 1:1. In the preview he said it was someone who he was interested in right from the start which would make me think Lisa, but I thought the preview showed someone with long, dark hair and a generous bottom. Not sure if that is from the single date or the group date, but if it is the single, then I'm going with the entrance girl...Elora.

@GuardianAngel Oh, thank you. I just posted in the regular episode thread since I didn't see a non spoiled section. I'm still not spoiled and didn't read the discussion. If you could bring that here, I'll post here as long as I have no idea what is going on.

Laura did well with the time they had. She seemed to have a good mix of chemistry and the intellectual connection so far.

Right now those are my top 3, but the only one I see anything really developing with is Laura.

Still trying to avoid getting spoiled so I'm not even reading the episode discussions since I think you guys are talking about spoilers. Wish me luck in staying that way!!!

Thanks AAL for directing me to this page since I want to stay unspoiled but will probably regret it !

So interesting couple of episodes to lay some thoughts on together with the season promo which i couldn't analyse if my life depended on it. I still don't know the girls names so will describe them if i can.

Loved Matty on the red carpet. He has no filter to his thoughts and says what he's thinking. Cute and adorable.
Loved that they made him the lead.


He had a few visible reactions to the entries. The first 3-4 ladies impressed him a lot. The ones in the middle of the pack were MOTs IMO.
i was looking for BL language like touching etc. but there was not much to go by.

If I had to say from the arrivals he was very into Laura (via PIs), the first 3 to 4 ladies that came in and Lisa (checking her out and his gushing Pis). He also seemed to like the Police lady.

Him taking Laura away first seemed to be noteworthy because  I did not see him actually taking away another lady except for Lisa to the secret garden. He was very excited about that and seemed genuinely interested in what she had to say and was trying to get her out of her shell.

He also seemed to be interested in the fireball girl though she did push herself on him like most of the other ladies.

if the f1 is not from this group that he actively went out of his way to talk to - she really, sorta defaulted IMO.
The fact that none of their names even stuck in my brain is either he really didn't show interest and they were the ones that purused him OR that the editors are doing an F'up version for this season. JMO.

Episode 2.
First one one girl : I think there was some chemistry but she and he couldn't close the deal and she definitely did want to close it. Also IMO she will crash and burn because the first 1on1 date is the hardest position to deal with the bitching and she has the bitches on her back. I doubt she will make the long haul.

Group Date : Could not see any chemistry whatsover with Matty and those girls. Except for the yucky drama I don't count that group of girls as any that he was particularly into. JMO
Again I feel like his f1 could default to that position because he just isn't into it,At least at first. So very slow burn. (Give me sizzling chemistry of Alex and Richie anyway jmo).

Tennis date : He really likes lisa. And clearly seems willing to put in the effort for her. I think she has major walls up and not sure if he can break them down. But for now, she is the one he really likes. I saw a clip of her crying in the promo which means she got cut or something along the way. I think it was her at least.

Matty for me needs  a soft girl and I really did not see that in this lot of women. Most of them are (sometimes over) confident and aggressive (which is why he and GL never clicked for me), I just have not seen a girl that can balance him in the mix for him.

This has disappointed me and I feel bad for him.

JMO and I'm looking forward to seeing what other that are non spoiled will say.


ETA : I'm totally melting at the chemistry that Matt has for lisa. He forgot her freaking name !!!! LOL I love to see the leads gobsmacked at the contestants when they first encounter them.

1.
She has a little PI where she talks about a being a Beast because of her height. That is a time travel SC and not taken or talked about that same night.

Would an MOT girl have time travel PIs in episode one ? There would be no need right ?

Its just what makes me watch this stupid  show.

2. Lisa and Matt had a full 1on1 Tennis date, even though it appears impromtu they were away all day and part of the evening. But we got no SCs of this in the season preview. Which makes me wonder if she makes it far enough but they are hiding something ? Unless of course she gets another 1on1 date later in the season in the SCs of the season preview. Maybe she does and the blondes are all looking the same to me .

guess I'm talking to myself with all these questions here because most are spoiled and we cannot go on SM/YT and get spoiled also haha. And the spoiled folk cannot answer me

Are we allowed to ask for any interviews etc. from Matty or the host that tells a little of how this season pans out ?

i am curious if they say anything at all. Though I do know what the leads say during promo is never what actually happens. (current season of TBette US ).

@nd4reality I also don't think that Lisa makes it as far as you would think based on how Matty reacted to her. I don't know why, but maybe it's because like you, I sense that she is closed off and not as into him as he is into her.

I think you and I are the only two unspoiled.

Fair warning I am obsessed with Lisa and Mattys attraction to her. He didn't even let up in the second episode where he promptly invites her to a date, So it will be interesting to me to see where this goes.

There was one scene in the promo where she was upset and there was a voice over (hers) where she says something that I could not make out. Any idea what that was ?

I really did not see him overly attracted to anyone else other than Laura so I'm waiting for the other 1on1 dates.

What about Elise? He seemed pretty taken with her when they first met.

@Just Looking Do you mean Elora? I don't even remember who Elise is. I had to go to my original post from the first episode to see what I said about her. Her entrance was one of those that was glossed over and I pegged her as one of the MOT women.

If you meant Elora...I thought he was taken by the fire twirling and the fact that she is an attractive woman. Once they got on the date, there seemed to be some awkward pauses there during the conversation. The three witches are in her head already, so I can see her starting to freak out because of that and because she got the first date and now has to watch all the others go after Matty. I think once he got over the initial excitement with the fire and all, I suspect they didn't have a lot in common and I can see it fizzling out fast.

@Sprite IA about Elora. She has the typical curse of the first 1on1 date which goes well but then the pressure of seeing the lead date others, coupled with the witches in her head. she will self implode at some point IMO. they have chemistry but I don't think that is enough.

The preview seemed stuffed with Elors scenes which sort of make sense because fro. An editing POV, they had plenty of time to edit into the promo, scenes from the first 1on1.

However, what is curious to me is that LIsas date was also in the first episode but not a scene from there, not even one featuring just Matty. In two episodes, she is already a front runner with the secret garden scnens and the date but nothing in the promo.

Sort of hidden edit in the promo if that makes any sense ?

Which tells me that the long promo is garbage for sleuthing ( I love promo sleuthing ) because we can already see the multiple different scenes of the SAME date for one girl (leora)and zilch for the other(Lisa)
This IMO is deliberate.

JMO and I'm not sure of this has been noted on the dark side.

Also on the theory that she does not last long based on no SCs for her n the promo( at least none that I could see), there has been a lot of "meat" in the actual scenes left in for Lisa. Matty PIs  like " Lisa I'm trying to be romantic here" hehe. Why enhance the story for a girl that is possible MOT based on the season promos.  No need Right?
Confusing editing but I'm suspecting my usual dependence on SCs is not going to help with drawing conclusions this time.
