I think they will be cautious regarding backlash, as Bachelorettes ratings were lower last year, and some of that could be put down to viewers feeling burnt because of the ending of Richie's season. That's really the only thing stopping me from embracing the Elise slow burn underdog victory theory! IMO they are going to play it as straight as can be to give a strong lead in to Sophie's season, which is possibly where the much diminished Channel 10 budget has been sent.

And Sam W season was an easy one to get behind the winner, Lana came in too late for us to really care about her so and once the adored Heather was out at F4 the only way it wasn't going to be a feel good ending was if single mum makes it to FRC and gets dumped! Something important to note here: Matty was doing those big, nervous swallows. You know the ones that immediately give away when you're upset and/or incredibly nervous? Those!!! How. Cute. She seems calm but they're both so obsessed with each other, you can tell. And then . . . they kissed! It was a good kiss. Not too porny for our innocent eyes, not too stiff and nervous, and not too awkward to watch. It was romantic and he held her face and then he got all school-boy excited about it when he had to talk to camera afterwards. Of course, Laura got a rose and then that was the end of their first date! Many more to come, we reckon.

Thanks @Sundy for bring the pic over....since Laura is a goofball IMO....I will play along. Well in that pic, she is standing in line behind Elise, so I will read between the lines of what her like of that pics means...that is all I will say for now giggling
