I personally don't think there's anything fanatical about that train of thought because it's a fairly logical conclusion based on what the edits show. It may not have been what happened but that's how it's been presented to the people. When a large portion of people see something, it's becasue there is something to see.

eg: I watch the show every monday night, while my sister will watch in passing. She has watched three episodes so far. 2nd episode, 4th episode and the latest one. When she watched peter's date, she said "he is ruining it and now she'll pick bryan." My sister is furthest thing from a fanatic, she's the definition of a casual viewer who sees what the producers want her to see

Peters own actions may have ruined it and pushed her away, but it was Bryan's to loose from his exit out of the limo, IMO.
