I doubt that WB will settle if they have proof to back up their contractural rights. If Corinne changed her story after the fact and witnesses prove that.....IMO Corinne could have action taken against her for false allegations. WB has a right to protect it's legal position and rights IMO.
Nobody forces these contestants to come on this show. They willing sign the contracts for $$$ and more importantly Fame. IMO Some of the contestants are determined to act outrageously on camera so that they stand out and then try to profit from their outlandish behavior post show IMO.

Exactly! I find it ridiculous to blame production. They are not supposed to be babysitters.
Michael G was on the Here to Make Friends from HuffPost podcast this week and he stated plain and clear that they are being filmed 24/7. Nobody is putting a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to drink. No producers make them do anything...they may make suggestions but not force it. And, in MIchael's opinion, Corinne and Demario probably both said at the start of production that they were open to connecting on show.
Where is Corinne's parents in all of this? They presumably watched their daughter lead with her sexuality in a very big way throughout Nick's season and SEEM to be drunk most of the time. If she actually has a drinking problem, her parents should be paying for 3 weeks of treatment at a substance abuse facility ... not standing by while she takes the Corinne show to BIP where the ENTIRE PREMISE of the show is hooking up and partying.
And because I'm curious, and it's been reported over and over that Shelby didn't witness any of this, where was she? And I don't mean bathroom break. This behavior started in the afternoon and extended into the night. Where was this best friend, production person and handler all this time? Wasn't it her job to be keeping tabs on Corinne? Corinne went from DeMario to 3 other men in the course of 6-8 hrs max. Talk about fast food.
@sweeti810 thanks for posting the contract excerpt. I suspected as much.
I so agree with you! Where was this producer/handler for such a long period of time on the very first day of filming? It wasn't like it was the final days of filming and she very much needed a day off after weeks of working day in and day out. In fact, now that you mention it, I find it very interesting and rather suspect that she was missing and didn't experience any of this firsthand. This situation just keeps getting more and more bizarre each day!

If it pans out in the end that there is no proof on the tape that Corrine was a victim of assault, TPTB would be within their legal rights (IMO) to sue her for loss of revenue, HOWEVER, the fact that the employee filed the complaint muddies the waters. That complaint as I understand it is more about work place conditions exposing crew to obscene situations---which IMO is totally TRUE!

I'm so confused with DeMario's story. He keeps saying that he doesn't blame Corinne for his losing his job or the assassination of his character. Well, who is he blaming then? Is it the media?

Himself. He's owning up to his actions and not blaming anybody. Corinne should be doing the same.

Taking responsibility for his own actions. Something Corinne should learn to do.

I will be glad when all the details are exposed - who's suing who, why and for how much. In the meantime, we've heard several versions of what took place and based solely on what we've heard to date, I'm leaning towards Corinne being less of a victim and more of a person who has sought fame and money. My personal opinion is that she would do anything for fame - I realize that Corinne was a big temptation to this franchise, but I think they overplayed their hand and will pay a big price for asking her to participate in BIP. The franchise is partially to blame for going too far over the years encouraging these hookups - I have not been a fan of BIP due to its trashy theme, so hopefully it will never return. However, as many others here have said, what happened to personal responsibility and values? We had an indication of Corinne's "personality" during Nick's season, so I'm not surprised how far she went on BIP. If she indeed was the recipient of unwanted sexual contact, then I am willing to re-evaluate, but currently I'm seeing her as an opportunist. I'm not sure what role her handler/producer played in this fiasco, but if she actually didn't see the incident or even watch a video of it, it makes me question her worth as a handler. So many things seem fishy and don't make sense. Obviously, excessive alcohol played a huge role, but this goes back to being a responsible adult. As far as the contract goes, if the contestants are willing to pay that price for 15 minutes of fame, they can't blame anybody but themselves. This has been an example of what happens in life when all boundaries have been crossed, and for what? Fame? Money? It's beyond disgusting.
All of the above is my humble opinion as always.

@dartbachfan27 exactly. It doesn't seem like he blames the show, Corrine or himself. In all honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he blames the media for put unsubstantiated allegations out there. I've seen articles with big bolded letters saying rapists and predator and not even naming Corrine. I still think he needs to take responsibility for his role irregardless of the results.

I'm going to say something very controversial here. Moderators, please delete if you think this is inappropriate.
I am pondering this: What actual harm was done to Corrine, other than the harm that IMO was self-inflicted ?
1) Reputation: IMO was already tarnished prior to BIP.
2) Physical harm: IMO minimal to none, because of D's alcohol consumption he wasn't erect
3) Emotional harm: IMO the angst seems to be from the aftermath of this going public more so than the actual event in question
4) Financial losses: IMO oh well
5) Drunkeness: self inflicted, not her first rodeo
Am I missing something?

I won't personally delete it because I am personally on the same page as you @MiaHawk.
So it won't be the first time GA has had to delete me, if it needs be. LOL
IMO I don't want to say it's a good thing, (obviously it's not) but I think the show has gone too far and needs to be reformatted or cancelled anyway IMO and as far as both cast people, they both need to rethink what the're doing.

When we move into the arena of deciding whether a woman (or man) but in this case Corinne, has suffered any emotional damage from being filmed inebriated and involved in sexual activity that she may or may not have been in a fit state to consent to, I become very uncomfortable.
Honestly, filming folks engaged in sexual activity of the kind we are hearing described is pornography. TPTB know what they are inviting in bringing the "troubled" bach/ette characters to an isolated place with not much to do but drink and make out. This escalation was bound to happen and recording it under the excuse that filming takes place 24/7 and everyone knows it doesn't make it right IMO. Sure Corinne and DeMario bear their responsibilities in this, but this show provided the perfect storm scenario for them.
