Wow after watching this show since it's inception, and watching the evolution of the show, I would NEVER recommend that any of my friends appear; TPTB will rip you up one side and down the other to get ratings. SMH.

I confess, if Josh had been the bachelor after Andi's season I would have pushed my friend to apply. We didn't know Josh was an abusive jerk then and she is a pretty blond Georgia girl with big boobs and she loves big, dumb strong guys who make her feel like a little princess. Josh seemed like a good fit then. Heck honestly he is just a worse version of more of her exes. So yeah, I would have pushed a friend to apply too.

Sometimes, if you are savvy enough and self-aware, I strongly believe that you can come out of this show with your reputation still intact. I think highly intelligent pple cannot be run over the bus by the show. If you give them material, they will run with it, JMO.

@Kashathediva I never said otherwise. I'm just saying, both people were nominated by friends and Rachel seems very happy. *IMO*We also don't know how long she was in the casting pool either. I don't think the time in the casting pool even matters much. It's a fun opportunity no matter when you're called to be on the show and the upside is tremendous. JMO

He had been in the cast pool for a few years. Rachel was interviewed and cast. She had not been in any casting pool longer than season cast for.
BTW--Let's not turn this into a he said/she said. I didn't say you didn't say this that or the other so let's not make it that.
I said a simple statement. The end.

IMO, the upside is only tremendous if you don't end up road kill.  And when you sign your life away to be on the show you give them the right and option to do just that.

ETA: add me to the list that would never recommend or nominate a friend, family or myself to the show? Just not worth it IMO.
