I think it's entirely possible that they brought Peter in with the intention of him becoming the Bachelor and he genuinely fell in love with Rachel. They might have to settle for the Miami Mack. All JMO.

Hi Long-time lurker, first-time poster! This is the most I've cared about a potential Bachelorette couple since the adorable Ashley and JP. I wasn't too impressed with Peter pre-show but he has won me over in the past couple of weeks, and him and Rachel seem like they'd be great together. I'm wary about him being the F1 because I don't want to get my hopes up only to be disappointed. I'm pretty convinced he will be the guy she chooses but I have become a little too obsessed with sleuthing for evidence on her F1!

I am intrigued by the fact that him and Bryan don't follow each other on SM. Both seem pretty chill, nice guys to me so far but it reads to me as a deliberate snub since they both follow other members of the cast/were roommates at the mansion. I suppose I wouldn't be too keen on following the other person who was ready to propose to the person I love but it does give me hope we will get to see a lot more of their interactions with each other/potential jealousy as the season progresses.

@bach/Ette I agree I feel like he was the chosen one for bachelor and they did not think they would hit it off. That's why I really want to see the emotional and vulnerable side to Peter for me to believe this whole thing. I want to see him jealous. I want to see him more into her. Because without those things it won't be believable....that is also why it concerns me that she kept saying you won't be able to tell, how would she even know that?

I also wonder what was behind CH "watch out for Peter" statement

I interpreted it as Peter wouldn't really stand out in the first episode, but would be one to look out for in the end.
