This is my speculation.
Past leads have been given "heads" up on cast being on their show. We(the viewers) got visual proof of this twice in the past. Sleuthers have found this out in the past about 4-5 times.
So now they are letting the audience see this. It's being done to help spike SM followers/ratings/viewership for Rachel's season.
RS finding this out is in a sense "a bone being thrown to him" and RS being used as a tool to get more people to view tonight to see some of Rachel's Ringling/Barnum and Bailey men.

To be fair, Nick got the most time at Kaitlyn's AFTR. I wouldn't be surprised if Rachel, or even Raven, were featured prominently tonight. My only concern is that we've known for WEEKS now that Rachel is ette, and she's already been interviewed by CH at WTA. If she were to be interviewed again, it would be redundant IMO. The only reason I can see her being brought to the stage is to get her genuine reaction when her men are introduced; and I don't see that lasting longer than a few minutes.

Well if this is indeed what all the hype is about (and not anything more) then eh. It may or may not actually take too much time away from N/V. Perhaps the Raven stuff will be shorter instead as I highly doubt there is any real drama to be had with her. She's not the next Bachelorette so no more promoting needed. I suppose they will delve into the orgasm rubbish because ya know ...this show. I look forward to whatever time I get of N/V as finally atleast it will be in real time and they can just openly be together. I look forward to whatever media tour they do throughout the week and then on to DWTS!!! I am already getting atleast another week or two of Nick I didn't expect at the onset of the season so yeah! As for the "magical" part I think that moment will lie in the FRC/proposal.

I feel like it was probably a mutual decision. I don't think Nick made Vanessa quit her job. I think that she decided for herself. If it was me, I'd be super excited to get away from the freezing cold temps in Canada and move to LA for a few weeks while my fiancé was on DWTS. Why does it have to be seen as such a sacrifice for Vanessa? While she may love her job and students, she can still live it up and have fun!!!
