Bachelor In Paradise - Season 4 - Potential Contestants - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Another reason for Amanda to do it, is the possibility of the Bachelorette. Nick getting the Bachelor pretty much made that a possibility for anyone going on BIP. So her or anyone going on this show, could be hoping for that .

@Duke702 Please dont say that, because she cant handle her life now how would she be with 25/31 men?  God I dont want to see that. IMHO. the men would chew her up and spit her out. No please.

No I don't think she would actually get picked, but I'm sure it is motivation for some people, and Imo she would definitely want that.

Me too. After Nick going on BiP and becoming the Bachelor, I can see some of these irrelevant guys coming out of the woodwork and suddenly becoming interested in going on BiP even after not being interested in it before. Honestly why wouldn't they do it? You can get another shot at the big role now. JMO.

She might be hoping for it, but with two kids I doubt it will happen. I hope it doesn't happen...her voice as the lead would be unbearable.

Her two kids didn't stop her before, why would it matter now? Emily had a daughter, Jason had a son.

I thought he moved to LA to be on some DR. Show . I do not follow him at all just was really surprised to see his named mentioned. I also thought that he was one that walked away from the Bach bubble but could be wrong. JMO

I understand your point but I think he should have still given her more of a valid reason than that. The fake excuses accomplish nothing IMO. If he had told her the real reason (her being intense, too much too soon or whatever), she might introspect and maybe that'll help her in her next relationship. I just feel people should have the balls to tell someone why they are not interested anymore (if it wasn't casual on both sides). It's okay to tone it down so as to not hurt the other person IMO but saying something like 'I don't want to date anyone from the franchise' and then going on BIP is going to hurt her a lot more IMO instead of the actual reason.

There are plenty of ways to "be nice" when breaking up with someone. Assuming they were long distance, Derek could have blamed that, wanting to date other people, even saying he wanted to do Paradise. But to blatantly lie and say he doesn't want to date people from the franchise and then show up soon after on Paradise seems strange and downright rude. Olivia likely had real feelings and probably feels stupid for falling for that lie, so no reason to put her down and say he "probably wanted to run the other way." All JMO obvously. A friend of mine saw pictures of her and Derek in NYC and people had commented on that picture that they were affectionate in public, then another picture in Phoenix (not sure why they were there, but it was late March) but it's clear they spent time together and I imagine she was blindsighted.

Whether they're in serious relationships or casually dating is irrelevant to me. Point is, it defeats the purpose of the show if they've all already met and slept with each other. At least, throw in a new twist that makes it more competitive; otherwise, we're watching people pretend to get to know each other.
