In every franchise that I've seen they advertising for cast for both the lead and the contestants. They probably have leads in mind, Mike probably is one of them, but they aren't going to make an announcement until closer to filming IMO.

I am kind of hoping by some chance they may film a chunk of the season in Victoria area again....if they do, I will be snooping for sure as I only live an hour away. There are so many things to see in Western Canada as well so would be great if they could swing some of it so that it isn't a completely foreign produced season. FWIW, the Okanagan is usually quite warm by Canadian standards at that time of year not to mention all the fruit trees will be in bloom, the shallow lakes can even be swam in and there is a lot of hiking/outdoor camping stuff that can be done before the tourists slam the area. Would really be interesting if they could incorporate some of it.

Personally, I always enjoy a fresh face for any of the franchises, unless the season takes on a reunion or all stars theme.

I don't mind a fresh face either, especially since they're pretty good at picking them. I can't say the same for the U.S. version.

They are casting now for the Bachelor, but filming won't start until April/May if we go by previous seasons, airing in the fall. Such a long time in between, I wish it was closer. I'm wondering if the selection process won't be finalized until closer to filming.
