Bachelorette Canada - Season 1 - Jasmine Lorimer - FRC - ATFR - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers* #4

I will agree with Kevin W's father.   Communication, Listen and be honest with each other, especially yourself.   Kevin W said it best in his emotional PI trying to get off camera...."for me TV is over, this is real, "f" this is really hard".    The TV cameras are gone and real life begins for all involved.   Mikhel has had time (6 months) to be out of the bubble and get grounded back into real life.  For Jasmine and Kevin they have been still involved with productions/handlers being the final couple.  They really haven't been able to get to real life even with a new relationship to figure out and grow.    So, now it is all over and they are out of the bubble they can communicate, listen and be honest to each other!  I know we all were part of their journey in a very small way as viewers, but time does heal and taking that time to not worry about the viewers etc and focus on myself and those I love (if Kevin W is included) I would. As a viewer I would love to have closure but it really isn't about me, it is all about them IMO

I am not sure if you have seen this extended clip from ATFR. It shows them together and working on their relationship together. Not sure why ETCanada did not show this side to Jasmine and Kevin. I hope they are together and working it out. Good for them for going "off the grid". They probably really needed time alone. Funny how she states her relationship with Mikhel grew so fast in the last week. I can't help think it's because of her family telling her he's better for her and started to influence her decision or doubt her decision especially from her friend who continuously promotes her own law firm on twitter.

I think it started to grow fast during her FD and that was before the family met him. I believe she said something about that after their date. If you spend that much time together I believe it changes the relationship, either it makes it stronger or the opposite.

IMO they wanted something not showing that. Why when the show is over did they still want to keep the storyline? That is when they normally let go of that and start showing us the reality, the good stuff. Did they want us to believe she was still more split in her emotions than she really was and when so why? Is the reason why the same as to why they are "gone" from SM now? Do the storyline have to match that? Confused...

Gosh, my opinions fly like the wind from wanting her back with Mikhel to making it work with Kevin. To her credit, jasmine is loveable and we as a nation have loved her and want the best for her and are dismayed at her perceived conflicted heart and sadness.

I for one decide here and now to step back and see if the process of time will reveal truths in the heart and live out of peace in the heart. I just hope for the best for her.

Strange that also Mikhel never wrote anything since the finale...

Yes [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Jasmine did say that about the relationship before her family meeting Mikhel, I did not see the family telling her to choose Mikhel, they were just saying that they see Mikhel as more loving, and Jasmine said she agree with their assessment.  She even used her body to demonstrate what she was saying.

With Mikhel not saying anything I hope he is ready to move on and away from all this.  He said he travel so maybe travelling right now is good for him.

It's time for him to visit KP in Miami.

I just realize that F2 also has media round like a day or two after the happy couple.
Is Mikhel scheduled at any radio or show the coming days?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] according to ET Canada Mikhel said he is done with tv.  I don't think he will do any interview. IMHO. His emotions still seems to be raw on the ATFR.

I thought he said tha regarding the bachelor gig.
And it was the day of the atfr taping.
I doubt he wouldn't do it just because it's still raw though.
Others had to do it no matter what in past seasons all over the world.
I would guess he probably would like to respect the happy couple cancellation and not go around talking about the show alone but I wouldn't say it was just because of the emotions.
What do you guys think?

ETA: also I think he is strong enough to handle it. We've seen it twice already and he was in front of Jasmine.

This video doesn't make me any more convinced their relationship can or will work.  The tone is still negative, IMO.

She sighs, she looks down, she runs her tongue over her teeth.  Her body language IMO is just not comfortable and this is even more evident in the out-take posted upthread where she is telling him off for putting his arm around her... or not putting it around her... I forget which it was.

The only thing Jasmine says she's excited about is "finishing" the show.

When asked what she's learned about Kevin since finishing the show she says he's "adaptable".  ADAPTABLE?!  That's barely even a compliment.  It's one of those vague "skills" one might put on a job application.

Then:

"We had so many differences... It was challenging and we had our fights and it's hard to do long distance.... We went from fights lasting hours to fights lasting... no time at all".  

She is measuring "progress" in their relationship by citing a reduction in the duration of their arguments?!  Red.  Flag.

"It was always hard in the beginning but it's.... good now".  Good?  She pauses before she says it and doesn't even say it with conviction.  She then practically dares him to disagree, IMO.

Kevin is at least trying to be more upbeat; his focus seems more on the future.  Jasmine seems fatigued and is talking about relief at having things end.  They are not on the same page at all IMO.

IMO, this is a relationship circling the drain.
