Also this may be the one time in existence I actually agree with Kyle Sanderlands. Never thought I'd say that.

Honestly Chris Lilley could have played ALL the contestants this season and I totally believe it would have been better

Poor sweet Jimmy. He'll be fine though, IMO.
And this is why he was our favorite! I think Sophie wanted to spare him as she knew he was all in and she had love and respect for him. Hopefully, she can rely on him as a friend or at the very least - investment advice!

hello partner in crime
I am totally aback about SM and instagram. It took me like forever to catch up and I am not even half of it.
so as we fear, james is/was the aussie favorite. It seems that even the guys think that it was a done deal as soon as he stepped out the helico.
i am still pissed off that sophie did not have the courtesy and respect to take james out. like luke. it is for me the utmost lack of respect. guys left everything behind to be stuck in a mansion, sharing rooms, no cellular, no family and friends.... and she does not have the decency to give a short explanation for closure. She is not that dumb and dense that she did not know who was genuine.
anyway.... i just cannot recover that prods did not offer her a better choice of older guys but again maybe it was a set up from day1.
stu does not have baggage... he has a train of wagons full of baggage... wow... good luck with that! everyday brings a new layer. methinks it is already over or will be soon enough.
I am so not impressed by the top 4, with the exception of apollo but he had zero chance considering his age. he has next bachelor edit but i think james will be our new matty j.... i just read that james is ready to be...
well done dark ladies for finding the top4! great sleuthing!

Did Stu get a cheeky one in before they started filming on the boat? Were the hometowns filmed in the order they were shown? If it wasn't Stu, who did Sophie get close enough to that he was able to leave his mark?

Re: Bachelorette Australia - Season 3 - Sophie Monk - Media Social Media - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
i honestly believe that the top 2 are stu and apollo. Both hardly posted anything. If sophie said:
you guys are going to be surprised
he is the right fit for me
her dad said: it is realistic and down to earth
that means stu. realistic is not a word that could be said with a 13 years gap. this also could not be said with a guy who lives far away and his job is to handle a vineyard. the realistic is a guy who has the same kind of schedule as sophie, who is used to luxury.
i have no idea who is stu. after reading a couple of interviews, he seems that he is on a path of redemption after his TV show in july (!!!!) being homeless. So maybe that was his wake up call in life. I hope for him because what I felt him as a playboy holding parties is true. It looks like for 4 years (!!!!) he had a lot of fun and girlfriends it seems?
I lost now interest with the show. Will check here and there and of course check who is finalist but I am no longer passionate about it. Kinda the same I was with matty j and laura when tara was out. There is still a very very slim possibility that apollo is F1 but I hardly doubt it.
keep going the good work.

Australian Financial Review Article
Here's how The Bachelorette Australia works. Twenty-two eligible local bachelors sign up to the national reality television show to go on dates with the chosen bachelorette. They must stay in a mansion during the months of filming and competition among the men to be the bachelorette's chosen one is fierce. But each week, contestants are eliminated until at last, the bachelorette finds "real love".
It's kind of Hunger Games tackles Cupid.
So why would someone like Stu Laundy – a separated 44-year-old father of four daughters aged 10 to 16, an heir to Financial Review Rich Lister Arthur Laundy's $412 million fortune and younger brother to federal MP Craig Laundy – go on such a show, a series which has traditionally been a career launch pad for aspiring models, actors and fitness instructors?
The answer lies in this year's bachelorette, celebrity Sophie Monk. Laundy had already met Monk before briefly, just metres away from the Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel where this interview is taking place. The encounter came after he had been dating for three years with little success.
I really felt like Sophie and I clicked, all be it for 10 minutes but more so than I've clicked with anyone since my ex-wife," Laundy says. Then the opportunity to go on the show came up. "I ummed and ahhed a lot ... and it was because of my kids. My two little ones are big fans of the show, they were always pretty positive but the two older ones were wondering what the impact would be on themselves and their mother. But I weighed up all the pros and cons and through several years of unhappiness, I just thought, this might be a path to happiness," says Laundy.
Clever editing
His brother Craig has been the biggest supporter of him going on the show, live tweeting The Bachelorette episodes and even doing a video recap. "Stu – you've poured a million champagnes and you butchered your first for @sophiemonk," he tweeted, when his brother poured champagne all over himself in front of Monk on camera.
Having never really watched the show, Laundy admits he was a "little naive". Reality TV shows are renowned for using clever editing techniques to create drama. (One of the contestants on the show was shown swearing at Monk before being booted off the show. He later said it was a "stitch up" by the producers and in fact he was swearing at the fact there was no beer on ice.)
But coming from a family of publicans, Laundy doesn't think clever editing can present him in a bad light. "You know the old cliche," he says. "You're listening to people's problems. You're being hospitable. And that's in my family blood."
Having to sleep in a bunk bed for months of filming in The Bachelorette mansion didn't faze him ("Luckily for me I'd just come off a 'homeless stint' in Melbourne. It was like paradise," he says, referring to being on SBS documentary Filthy Rich and Homeless where he slept rough alongside four other wealthy individuals). Neither did hanging out with the other contestants, who are a decade or two younger than him. It took him back to the days when he went to Joey's – St Joseph's College – a boarding school in Sydney.
But since the show aired, the media attention on him has been relentless. He is afraid of walking down the street at the moment for the fear of being photographed with female friends and colleagues. For the time being, he only speaks to his kids on the phone. He is surprised at the ability of gossip magazines to manufacture stories. "If I was to listen to those magazines I've been with and broken up from Sophie 64 times," he says.
Gossip-mongering
The gossip-mongering is reflected in the show's popularity – this incarnation of The Bachelorette with the 37-year-old celebrity launched with nearly 1 million viewers across the five capital cities, which is more than any other season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette Australia.
But this has not translated into more customers at his pubs yet. Laundy calls himself the "big-picture guy" of the family's hotel empire and he has been instrumental in stitching up major deals, including the 2012 tie-up where Woolworths' hospitality arm ALH Group took over the operation of nearly 30 pubs owned by the Laundy family. His bigger risk appetite has also led to setbacks, though, with receivers PPB taking control of the first pub owned by the younger Laundy during the global financial crisis.
The elder Laundy is still very much involved in the pub business. "He's a dictator," Laundy jokes. The 76-year-old also doesn't have a plan to retire yet, "much to the chagrin of all of us", his son says.
Laundy doesn't like the media labelling him "the last publican playboy" with a yacht and fancy cars. "My father has a nice boat. But if I were to use it, I need to ask his permission," he says, "he often says no."
Dating challenge
He says he found it a challenge to date after he separated from his wife, Rachel, in 2013 after 15 years of marriage. He stayed away from online dating, instead meeting women through his friends who made it their "project" to find him the right woman. He explains, "I had gone from having a partner for the best part of 20 years and having four kids that I could just grab and cuddle at any time in the day, to living in an apartment by myself and seeing the kids every second weekend.
"I try to explain it to my married friends, walking around each night and turning the lights off in the house when everyone's in bed is something you've done... And then you're going to bed by yourself. Watching TV by yourself. Eating [by yourself]. You've got to do your washing. I don't think I've ever done my washing before. I'm hopeless at that," he says.
Laundy has no regrets about going on the show. "I saw something in Soph. So I put myself through this, made myself look like maybe a moron out there to society but I felt like there was a connection," he says.
He is tipped to be the winner of the show, but with Channel Ten constantly making new seasons of The Bachelor with former contestants, would he ever go on reality TV again?
"Never," he says.

@sd92 can't say I am surprised by Blake since I think he is one of the worst contestants from the Aussie shows ever. What Blake posts months down the road and using his SM to try demean someone else says more about Blake than it does about Jarrod. jmosd92 wrote:Has anyone seen this post of Blake
