Yeah you're right, that's definitely a match on the brother in law's shirt too so they must have been taken on the HTD day and then held in limbo for 3 weeks just to melt our brains.

That also explains the comment which I only just noticed: "I thought Icebergs was at it's best a few Sundays ago???". GAH!

Although, during HTD, wasn't Matty with Georgia throughout the day?? The pic at Bondi looks like it's taken in the middle of the day or early afternoon.

For what it's worth, Kate's hair is different in this pic to HTD, this pic has her hair parted on the side.

Could they all just be wearing their favourite outfits again?

IMO I read the IG comment "I thought Icebergs was at it's best a few Sundays ago???" as being a comment referring to tarleeah and sarclifton being their together a few sundays before, and that being "the best", kind of like a friendly jab between friends.

So what are we thinking... if these were taken at the same time as the HTD PIs, either:

The friend took the photos in early August and waited to post them until Matty got back from the finale... for what reason IDK

OR

The PIs were done post-finale, in which case Matty (and possibly Kate) knew the outcome. And producers potentially made him re-live it all, which would be very cruel if he was F2.

Either way, he doesn't look heart broken in the pics, so if they were taken a couple of days post-finale he's either F1 or he's lying about how he would feel if he wasn't F1 in the PI.

The #chickendinner hashtag still intrigues me, because regardless of when the pics were taken, they were posted post-finale.

It's all so confusing!!

Do we know which day did they fly out to film the final episodes in Singapore?

Ok well this might be interesting DM has article date 29August and pics of Georgia at Sydney airport. The article says she returned on the weekend. This Insta post was dated 28 August. So Matty has either flow. Back early from Singapore because he is F2 or they have held the picture from previous weeks.

The #chickendinner seems an obvious clue, although if Matty is F1 then theoretically he hasn't told anyone, according to Georgia.
So if it is before or after the FRC the # may be just #TeamMatty, I think you are a winner either way?

I'm rewatching Matty's MTD now and he's basically narrating the entire date from start to finish in that outfit... and his tone isn't sad at all. He's really excited and happy for most of it, and then just concerned at the end that his heart might be broken because he's falling for her.

I could find out what time the pics were uploaded to instagram, but it isn't really helpful is it?Well,considering the fact the photo could have been taken at a different time..
