Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Nick himself was the recipient of the first impression rose, from the lawyer. He knows how that goes. Maybe along with his genunine interest in Rachel, he knew she could hold her own if the girls gave her a hard time.

He could also have thought, he was so sure about Vanessa, he felt he would give the rose to someone else that he is interested in as well.

I had not checked out her Instagram. From what is posted, she's alot of fun and enjoys life. I like her!

At this point I'm half in love with Vanessa myself and the show hasn't even started yet  - very excited to watch them together

Same, although I think she's got a more dramatic hourglass than I do. And her workout instagram pics are definitely body goals . I'd also agree with you that she's not heavy at all and a 4-6 and just looks heavier next to the rest of the women who are 00's and 0's (with maybe a couple 2's). She's also not tall, so it makes it easier to look curvier.

All that said, I'm not sure if I like or don't like the dress. Like I like the idea of it, but I don't think she quite pulls off the execution.

I have to say I am surprised that Nick picked Vanessa.
I do not mean that in a bad way at all. She just seems very "normal" and relatable to me. She is very beautiful but relatable beautiful.

I took a look through her IG and videos etc. and she definitely is confident in her own skin - but not in a brash or obnoxious way - she seems goofy and fun and light hearted. Also I found a couple of the things she said her bio interesting. She said her biggest fear is "hurting people's feelings" and that one of her best attributes is "patience". I just found those interesting in that we know Nick likes the confident / bold personalities and she may in fact have that type of personality but she also seems to have a more caring side to her.

The more I learn about her the more I am just surprised he picked her - again not in a bad way. I think that she might be a really good fit for him personality wise - someone who is smart, confident quite like Andi but a little less brash. And someone who is quick witted/goofy like Kaitlyn but less obnoxious/in your face. She also seems to have a sensitive/softer side which it I think is important to Nick from an emotional connection standpoint. I am very very interested to see their interactions.

^ This is what CH said about Nick when he talked about Rachel in his 5 to watch:
'Because as much as he likes strong women, he's a sensitive guy too.'
That part may give us a clue what Nick picked Raven, who according to CH, helped Nick feeling relaxed and comforted, and Vanessa who seems to be kind and gentle from the school's FB (Galileo adult centre) to f2 instead of the strong beautiful lawyer. Jmo.

I understand what you're saying. The word that comes to mind when I looked at Vanessa's Instagram pictures and all the pictures posted here that posters found, is sweet. There just seems to be a lightness and softness to her that I really did not see with either of those two Bachelorettes Nick competed for. Again, we may be reading her absolutely wrong but when the poster who said she knew her described her as just the sweetest person, my thought was, "yeah, I can see that."

So I get what you're saying in being surprised Nick picked her based on all his talk about strong, confident women who will challenge him, etc. However, one of my favorite quotes is "don't mistake my kindness for weakness". In other words, Vanessa may just be quietly confident and not the in your face type and that could be the sexiest type of confidence for some people. I am definitely excited to see their dynamic, especially since if RS is right, it was her from the start and the episode 1 synopsis does mention their chemistry and them almost kissing on night one. So clearly there was instant attraction and yes, I have to do it...connection.

Looks like RS is correct and Vanessa might have let it slip out. She must be excited.
