Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Media Social Media - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Thanks @Dirty Street Pie....now that you mention Laurina, what a legend she was on that season IMO. Though Blake's season outcome was not the best; at least we still saw the love story with just a little side some drama IMO; that season was really balanced out for me and I wish the producers would go back to that type of edit for Matty's and Sophie's seasons.

Laurina was amazing! You're right though @mercieme , there WAS a love story that season, and it was well told, and it's easy to forget that because of how things went down after the season ended. The problem is when you get a larger than life villain who sucks up all the airtime until they are eliminated, and it doesn't allow that storytelling to happen, or they try to get too tricky, and hide the love story as they did with Richie and Alex. My hope is that even if Mattys choice is obvious that they don't hide it.

Despite the outcome I quite enjoyed Blake's season it was funny and Laurina was great. Also one thing we shouldn't forget when comparing seasons is that up to Sam Wood's season and Frost, production was different.

First preseason intros came onto Facebook on July 5 last year, so I'd say we'll get some pretty soon, which will really narrow things down.  I tried to do Tims season as well, but my Facebook kept crashing.

So the F1s always feature preseason, but there was no preseason promotion of Nikki (F2) on Richie's season, nor Lisa (F2) on Blake's.  So the fact that Elise has been inexplicably invisible in the preseason stuff so far could actually be a clue for her being F2, and Lisa being featured front and centre could well be a decoy, IMO.  

I'm not on Facebook so please let us know what pops up!

NP @Bobette, I wouldn't count anyone out yet on what we've seen so far. Facebook has only got the mixed promo videos that have been featured on TV so far, what I've been looking at is a dedicated post, either photo or video for one girl, and they haven't posted any of these yet, but if they follow last years timeline I'll expect them to start in the next couple of days.

I can't remember which girls got their own tv ads last year apart from Alex, Keira, and possibly Janey again? I definitely remember Snez having one the season before, but then we can't go from that too much as the F2 was a late intruder.

@Bobette, I interpreted poster Dirty Street Pie's post to mean that we have to wait to see who the season promotes with intros prior to the season starting either with feature pics with quotes on the show's FB page (similar to Sam Wood's & Richie's seasons) or videos on the FBs (similar to Blake's season). Her point is that the F1 will get an intro on the FB page either via the feature pic with quotes or a video. She also indicated that the pre-season vids were released on July 5 to the show FB for Richie's season so we should be getting something hopefully shortly.

IMO we should wait to see if Elise is shown in the pre-season intro before we know if she is F2 or not. I really can't imagine that Matty will take her to F2 and dump her becasue IMO I think she will be a fan favorite with past athletic career but if she is not shown in the pre-season intros or vids then I will start believing that it's a possibility that she was dumped at F2.

Right now with all the hoopla by the mags that Laura is F1, I still think there is some possibility that the producers might use her as a decoy from the real F1. However IA that all indications point to her being F1 for now based on what has been posted in the F1 clue thread.


ETA - just saw your response @Dirty Street Pie just to add to what you said, Nikki was also shown in the TV promo for Richie's season last year released to FB...we had discussions about her outfit and how confident she was to wear that IIRC. However like you said, Nikki didn't get an intro profile on FB.

We have a name for White Pants girl - her name is Tara 

She's the first girl to be posted by the official SM account and also included in the promo and has a date per sleuthing. So I think she may be a contender to be in F4.

Thanks AAL.....@Dirty Street Pie....you called it yesterday that we should start getting intros by July 5th The intros will trickle into next week if they follow the same pattern as Richie's.

NP @mercieme and great call @Dirty Street Pie as always! I'm definitely interested to see who they choose to post bio pics/videos about in the next few weeks. If they follow past patterns the F1 is always posted. So that may be another clue if the pattern continues.

YAY for Tara!  I agree @AllAboutLove - she's a Top 4 girl IMO too. Top 3 actually.

@Bobette I know we thought so before but seeing her pic/video and Tara really does give me Nikki vibes. I don't think F2 though since they never seem to post the F2 pre-season but I can see her making the F4 depending on the other women this season. I really hope they start posting more soon. The US season I am watching is dragging with so many off-weeks so I am ready to sleuth the women for this season

Yeah I'm pumped for it! I'm slotting Tara in at F3 on my prediction list. Lisa F4, Elise F2, Laura F1. Now let's see how wrong I am.  

I wonder who'll be the next profile released?  They may hit us with one of the hyper-sexy girls like Elora, or potential "bad girl" Leah.
