I have never found a problem with Lauren's voice , just on the site that I had to watch HEA, every body sounds weird. Americans tell me I have an accent, but I think it is you who do!

Me too.  I find that SO annoying and I don't get it.  I never heard anyone talk like that before until just recently.  What I don't understand is that it's not a pleasant way to speak and certainly not cute or sexy.  It makes me wonder how Ben can tolerate her speaking that way.   I hope when Nick starts up on The Bachelor, he won't have women talking like that.
A lot of girls have it, surprisingly..or not laugh out loud . I think maybe with the way Lauren and her sister grew up, they just got accustomed to talking like that... With the LA lifestyle or something.. Idk. I certainly don't like it, and I've mentioned Lauren having it since the Bachelor days. It's like nails on a chalkboard. But she has other lovely qualities, so something as "shallow" as her vocal tone, shouldn't be that much of a deal breaker. Though, in all honesty, if I were a guy, I would NEVER date/marry a woman with vocal fry. I just couldn't listen to that naggy scratchy voice every day for the rest of my life, and actually enjoy the person that I was with. So I don't blame people who don't like that style of talking either, but I give props to people who deal with it. All IMO.

It's amazing, but if you Google Vocal Fry on the internet, it'll come up that this way of talking actually started by Kim Kardashian.  So now this is a trend by young girls/women.  They  have to make their voice sound that way when they're talking since it's not natural.  Once you notice someone talking liked that, it's hard to listen to her speak without thinking how forced that voice actually is.
Vocal fry is just a more exaggerated Valley girl voice. Valley girl voices have been around for yearssssss. Both are equally as annoying, try hard, and degrading. Some girls, I believe, genuinely can't help the way they speak. BUT a lot of young women, talk like that on purpose. That's what makes it worse! IMO.

I think humans technically all have accents to people who have different accents. It's quite interesting IMO.

Personally, I thought they were trying to talk what I used to think was stereotypically referred to as valley girl talk. So it's been re-named and update to vocal fry. LOL

You're right, valley girl talk has now turned into vocal fry just with a much deeper voice like they swallowed a frog. This is supposed to be attractive? I doubt it. JMO Just talk in a normal tone of voice without trying to change anything and that's much more appealing.

The voice, the kissy face, the off the shoulder romper and gladiator shoe. What a vision. I guess every few years something goes in and out of style.

I don't understand the voice thing either. Then again, I'm a simple midwestern girl who is perfectly okay with my tone and accent. Lol

I did laugh out loud at Lauren's gratuitous bikini pic for her Thanksgiving post.

I laughed at that too! laugh out loud

My favorite tone on women is either really soothing buttery voices (like Caila) or really raspy voices (like Sophia Bush.) Theres just something so pleasant, yet sexy about them. IMO.

I'm not sure what's the worst. The tone of her voice/vocal fry, the amount of times she uses the word "like" in every sentence, or the way she exaggerates every last word in a sentence.

I know what you mean. She makes it very difficult to get through watching an episode because she's so annoying. I wonder if she'll talk like that when she says her vows.

I wonder if it will be the same as her little speech right before she went into the fantasy suite with Ben:

"Bennnn, you are like the man of like my dreamsssss."

laugh out loud at least she seems to be a sweet girl.

This technically all counts as vocal fry/valley girl voice.

She's always talked like that (at least in the year that I've been watching her on tv), so 99% sure she'll talk like that in her vows IMO.
