I saw nothing passive aggressive in either interview, IMO they were very complimentary of Nick.

The second interview was a mispost. I was looking for the transcript, but I couldn't find it, so I just posted both of them just in case.

So he won't post teeth whitening because they're bad for him. So naive. Who cares Ben, the hasbeens aren't touching that stuff either, it's all about the $$!!

Exactly 90% of the people who claim to use the teeth whitening strips, gummy bears, tea, etc. don't actually use them. It's just for a photo op!

Also I'm realizing that I see nothing bitxhy or mean about Lauren, but plenty of people on IG think she's sooooo annoyed with Ben and is constantly giving him looks or making him feel stupid. How do I not see any of this? I've even rewatched some of the scenes.

She's always had RBF to me. Heck I find her nicer to him than I would be most days if my husband was that wishy washy .

@bleuberry I know. Me too. I just consider myself Lauren blind because I don't see it either. He says and does goofy stuff sometimes and she laughs and whatnot. I can't help. I don't see it either.

Like you said, I think it's mainly because she has RBF (which I also have), but also because of the way she drags out her words, kinda like she's talking to him slow, because he's stupid or something She also does this weird thing with her eye lids where she flaps them really slow too, so it makes it look strange..? IMO.

One more thing: I'm DONE with Ben calling Lauren "honey" 100 times per epsiode. He's sweet and all, but please Ben, you're not 50 having been married 25 years. Enough with all the "honey."... I'll even take "babe" at this point! IMO.

This! All of this!!! I think Lauren is a total sweetheart as evidenced by this last episode which I thought was a great epi for her! She's also compassionate, patient, mature and understanding with some of Ben's more annoying qualities. IMO.

I don't get the hate for her. Probably never will at this point.

So what exactly the purpose of their reality show after all now that the show is over after next Tuesday . I am sorry to ask because all we saw is all about what fleiss wants to show . Jmo

Again I'll say these recaps are insanely more entertaining than the show and I don't even need to see the show to know this. Lol

I think Lauren does act a bit annoyed by him sometimes, but who doesn't with their partner? Ben's just so desperate for validation that he gets visibly rattled everytime Lauren brushes him off or acts unimpressed. I guess that makes Ben's devoted fans feel sorry for him and see Lauren as some kind of a bully. I for one think a grown man shouldn't need to be praised for every little thing like a child, but I guess I'm just cold.

First time poster here, but have been following this site since around the time Ben was named Bachelor.  

I am a fan of both B&L, although more so Lauren since the show has aired.  I have been following them both on social media since TB, watching the new show, and following the discussion in this thread and wanted to make a few observations:

1) I think much of the flack Lauren gets on SM is because many fans still have Ben up on the “Perfect Ben” pedestal, and believe he is right/should be catered to in all situations.  I am happy that Lauren doesn’t just go along willingly with everything Ben says/does.

2) Since we all know the show is highly produced (is hard at this point to tell what is real and what is staged, although when there are tears, I have to think the emotions are at least real), and even Social Media can be deceiving because it is only the pictures they want to share, I think the real them comes out in broadcast interviews – the one with Juliet Litman and the recent ones with Lauren Zima come to mind, as well as the People video tour of their house – where they are comfortable with the interviewer and answer questions in a very relaxed setting. In these cases I find them to be very in-synch with each other, lovingly playful, laughing genuinely and giving very level-headed, realistic answers.  I don’t see any signs of whiny or entitlement by Lauren.  These interviews/videos are what I believe to be the real example of what their relationship really is.

3) The producers of this show were the ones who really screwed up, and Lauren and Ben have taken the hit for going first.  I assume B&L provided the major events and themes of their relationship post-Bachelor and then production created a story line out of it and had them reenact key scenes.  In trying to create drama and what they thought was a compelling storyline, they had B&L over act the reenactment scenes, which drowned out what I believe their personalities truly are.  If they try it again with another couple, hopefully they apply lessons learned.

4) I believe they will stay together and get married at some point, but given all of the manufactured content in this show, I have no idea when that will be.  Hopefully on B&L’s terms and timeline.
