Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I only watched the first 10 minutes of last night's episode, but I thought it was so funny that they both started laughing in the middle of their fake "arguments". I mean in the previews, of course they want to make it look like Ben & Lauren have problems, and I'm sure they occasionally argue IRL, all couples do. But Producers were trying to make ben look like a jerk IMO with those "lines" he had to say. I mean "you want babies you want a dog, you want a wedding". I mean he's engaged to Lauren, duh he wants to marry her. Super lame producers made them fake argue about that. I thought it was cute when Ben laughed and then told her he wants all those things too.

When he was talking to his friend at the batting cage, he said she was getting a ton of sponsorships and hits. She doesn't post with high frequency but when she does it seems like the products are moving.

I don't care their show how it is though. But all I am seeing with them is acting . I wish we could be able to see something out of that . Looks like the producers really making a show of them to capitalize their popularity . Wish they throw more of their daily regular routines or happening between them on real world  after bachelor and put this non bachelor /bachelorette  people  more at some point . Atleast even it is a scripted show Everyone will see a little realness on it . Jmo

The one thing I don't really get, is why Lauren keeps saying she can't work as a flight attendant because she gets recognized. Other contestants have gone back to their regular jobs. I think if she wanted to, she could go back to that, I don't really buy that that's the issue. I mean how many people would really go up to her, 1-2 a day if that? I read a couple blogs making fun of her for saying that in the episode. "Oh I can't be a flight attendant anymore because I'm too famous, and then I have to like be nice and talk to people who recognize me". She should just say the truth, which is she doesn't want to do that and she just wants to milk the show as much as possible and make a career out of that. I respect these Reality people more when they just admit that. Also saw many people on social media making fun of her making a big deal about her fashion blog, but then barely posting anything.

I don't think she could go back being a flight attendant.
I do think she would be interrupted at least every flight by someone recognizing her and wanting a photo, an autograph or just to talk.
Believe it or not, I am not always a nice person. Huge surprise there.
When I fly I want to get to my seat, have a safe flight and disembark as quickly as possible.
I do not want in those low ceilinged, skinny azzed aisles, to have some crazed fan hold me up because they want a selfie with the flight attendant. I don't want my flight attendant interrupted when pointing out the exits during her canned safety talk and if I need my coffee, I don't want her held up because someone wants a 10+ minute chat regarding Lauren's TB experience.
I personally believe those are the types of things that would go on.
IMO, Alaska Airlines needs a flight attendant who would put the airlines and their customers first vs. a flight attendant who would be interacting with fans from a reality tv show.

^ couldn't agree more @kasha. First and foremost in my mind is flight attendants have important safety responsibilities and it would be reckless imo to employ a flight attendant who will constantly be interrupted from performing her duties because fans want selfies etc. Would also wreak havoc with flight delays.

I agree it would be better not to be an FA again, however, it seems like she has NO intention to work a real job other than FA too, imo.

She temporarily transferred to a back-end role after filming and before the finale, IIRC. Why can't she consider that now? Oh Yea, she is a celebrity now that opportunities come her way and who still care about a job. Wait, being a celebrity is a job, so she does have a job.

All my opinion.

I don't know what her intentions are or are not.
What I do know is we all go through various life stages. Maybe not doing a traditional 9-5 is not in the cards for her now or perhaps ever. IMO that is up to her.

^^Yea that was mostly my point, is that like a lot of people from the Bachelor, she just wants to work in entertainment IMO so just admit it. I mean is Lauren really that famous though? Eventually it will die down. Even if it's not being a flight attendant. It's not like she couldn't have another job. And I saw her defensive instagram comments about what her a Ben's jobs are. Didn't Whitney Bischoff and Nikki Farrell go back to work after being on the Bachelor? Being a nurse is a pretty important job too. IDK. jmo.

I believe the decision to no longer fly was taken out of her hands in January due to her inability to effectively do her job due to popularity at that time. Then she moved in April to Denver which is not a hub for her airline I think she then decided she no longer wanted that job. She decided to then create a blog. There is a very real possibility that the blog will not bring in enough and she might need to go back to a more traditional job, who knows. I have a feeling this show no matter its terrible ratings is making them enough money that they will have this defending their lifestyle problem for awhile.
