Yep. When she completes her requirements (in a few weeks) and receives her degree, she will officially be a D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine). She's already passed her boards, but I think she has to complete at least a year of residency before she's eligible to be licensed in New York.

Just heard the news about Ali and Roberto, sad :(. As much as I love them, it makes me feel the chances of Ashley and JP making it work are slimmer.

Joelle, remember that Ashley and JP are different people than Ali and Roberto. They seem to be in a really great place right now. :Nod: :Grin:

ITA, Ashley and JP really value each other and what they have. I'm not sure if that was always necessarily the case with Ali/Roberto. At least IMO. hmmm

I think a major difference between the couples is that, partly due to their ages when they met, Ali and Roberto were both just figuring out what each wanted career-wise, and I suspect they couldn't find a compromise between the demands of Roberto's fledgling business and Ali's pursuit of a media career. Whereas JP is already established in his career, and knows what it entails, and Ashley, once her training is done, pretty much knows what she'll be doing, so I think they'll have an easier time of meshing their individual aspirations into a comfortable joint lifestyle.

I agree that Ash and JP are different people. I like that the both seem to be on th same page about not seeking the limelight. Which may not have been the case with Ali and Roberto( well Ali at least). However, I think a major problem that all the couples face and seems to be breaking point is the intense pressure they are put under. I think that's why there are only two couples married. It takes an incredibly strong couple to block all of that out.

This show doesn't have a good record, period!

JP & Ashley fell more in love after the show. So, only time will tell, but they have a really good foundation. Ashley has a set vocation as does JP. Ashley has friends in NYC and JP has a set vocation and family/friends already in NYC. That helps.

Yup, and the Ashley gets along with his family and vice versa. I don't think that was the case with Ali and Roberto.

I was just going to say the same thing, Carrie. JP and Ash have already spent a lot of time visiting with both families, much moreso than Ali and Roberto were able to do, because of the distance. Nothing like hanging out with each others' families to keep them grounded and keep their priorities in order. :yes:

And I think also It seems to work out if the Bachette moves for her man especially if he has a good career..Trista moved for Ryan..Ashley moved for JP..Heck even Molly moved for Jason..
