Really, I think it's great! and NYC is the perfect place to be to take advantage of those opportunities.. I guess I always assumed that when they're still under contract with ABC the network takes a chunk of those earnings, but I guess that's not the case..

Oh, I think it's a good thing. I do like that they don't do too many 'let's go to the beach and just so happen the paps are there' pics.

From what I've seen JP and Ash seem to be taking advantage of attending/participating in only the events that really interest one or both of them, or are for a good cause. If some of these activities also include an appearance fee, good for them. Can anyone really blame them? Well, as somebody said earlier, "haters gonna hate", so for the people who just have it in for this couple for whatever reason (ahem, ABC board), they will be picked apart for anything short of crawling into a hole and disappearing.

As far as the tabloids, negative or shocking news gets more attention, so any way they can twist the story to make it appear more dire/controversial than it really is, is the way they will go. Unfortunately for them, Jash hasn't given them that much to work with, so they are really twisting hard, and even then, don't seem to be able to come up with much.

LOL. Even though ITW tried to make it sound negative with the title of that article, the article itself was surprisingly positive for them. In fact, post-show, JP and Ashley haven't had to deal with almost any of the tabloid crap that has plagued past Bachelor/ette couples. With the exception of one or two blatantly false articles, all their coverage has been positive. They've essentially neutralized all the tabloids by being so glowing and happy all the time. It's hard to make up false stories about trouble in paradise when they always look to besotted by each other. I guess it helps that they seem to charm everyone who comes into contact with them.

They did write a negative title for what turned out to be a sweet and positive interview from JP. They are a normal couple adjusting to real life situations. It has become pretty comical how the tabloids try and spin everything and fail.

Just because they're not planning a wedding doesn't mean there's trouble in paradise for Ashley Hebert and fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum.

"We're so busy that even if I wanted to plan [a wedding] right now, I don't think I could," the former Bachelorette, 26, told PEOPLE at the Dodge Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles marathon.

Hebert, who is in her final weeks of dental school and currently applying to pediatric residencies in New York, says, "My brain is just not there right now."

But the couple isn't waiting too long, and will "start talking about [wedding planning] after the New Year," assured Rosenbaum, 34.

For now, they're just enjoying what downtime they have and getting used to living together in New York.

"My closet space is a lot less now and the place is twice as big," joked Rosenbaum. "But it's her idiosyncrasies that I love and there's no pet peeve of hers that really gets to me."

And what's a favorite date night for the low-key couple?

"We just both have really busy, crazy lives, so staying in, making dinner and watching a movie is my personal favorite," said Hebert.

They are so brutally honest in their interviews, it's even hard for the tabls to spin it negatively. JP and Ashley seem so normal, as you said Love_Me. JP is gonna marry Ashley and he gushes about it everytime he's interviewed. If he had a sister growing up, he understand the closet space more, there's never enough for us gals. :giggle:
