So, on the last season of The Bachelorette, Ashley here spent a lot of time worrying that she wasn’t sufficiently hot for any of the dudes. It was occasionally a parade of low-self-esteem sadness, and I don’t want to pile on — although it bears mentioning that she ended up with a good dude and they seem crazy about each other, so I’m sure she feels just fine right now. I think it ALSO bears mentioning that I personally think Ashley is totally cute, and she seems like the kind of girl that you’d be happy to fix up with any of your friends, because she is essentially a nice person with good intentions, and she’d be fun to hang out with at a barbeque.



And, finally, that it ALSO bears mentioning that those pants are INSANE.

I guess this means she's officially arrived? :giggle:

I doubt she'd have a duplicate made. They have it insured, I'm sure, and a thief wouldn't know the difference from a real or fake ring, so the the threat is the same for it being stolen. jmo, she would want the one JP proposed to her with in Fiji that he picked out personally and pledged his love as he slid it on her finger, imo. It's costly but not like it's a million dollar ring that would need a duplicate as the insurance would too high to replace it..

Exactly. Plus, it's not as if they live in some small town where rings of that size are out of the ordinary and she'd be an inviting target for thieves. Rings the same size and bigger than Ashley's are so common in NYC that no one would blink an eye over it or spend a lot of time being worried about it being stolen. A more realistic concern would be losing it because it was too big and slipped off her finger, which is probably why she's having it resized to fit properly.

Was wondering though, is Ashley having changes made to her engagement ring, other than the sizing? she's been without it for a while, and why not, surely it would be paid for! . Actually, if the rumors are right that they already picked out their bands, maybe she needed to modify the engagement ring to match up w/ the band..

Maybe they had to send it off to Neil Lane for the adjustments?

I'm sure NL is probably very particular about who works on his rings, especially someone who is high visibility like Ashley. Plus, her ring had diamonds all along the band so that would lengthen the waiting time, I would think.

Don't know about NL and Ash's ring...but mine is two carat center and 1 1/2 carat around it...they had to send it off to Hong Kong to replace on of the side diamonds because they are Calla cut and that's the only place they cut them...it took thre months and I was pizzed. Love it...and it is way smaller than Ash's and prob much less expensive. Just saying.

I'm laughing because as a born and raised NYer whose also lived in Manhattan, rings of that size are NOT common around town. Many DON'T wear expensive rings out in public in NYC. ESPECIALLY if you ride the subway (which I've heard they do from time to time)...So, yeah, Ms. Tiny Dentist Dancer would most certainly be a target Better safe than robbed.

New Yawkah here.....just turn the ring around on the subway (or in the street) to hide the stone. Although, one doesn't commonly see people who can afford a ring that size riding the subway. Well, maybe at rush hour going to Wall St.
