Qualities in a Contestant - Reasons you are a Fan - General Discussion -*Sleuthing Spoilers*

I'm always interested in knowing what qualities (physical, mental, or emotional) attract us most to a man and why we end up becoming their fans? Do we all have a 'type'? 

So, if you care to indulge me, please list 2 other past contestants that you found yourself rooting for/fan of, and then what quality it was about them that drew you in, and if you felt the same way about Robby. I'll go first to give you an example.

Chad Schlee (Meredith) - gentleman, sincere, loved his mom....same for Robby
Ryan Sutter (Trista) - sweet, sexy, romantic soul....same for Robby

Can you say "M-E-O-W"? It's risky just asking the question that I did here in this Robby fan thread, IMO. I've just been thinking of the 2 or 3 men over the years that I have personally been most drawn to, and that I have rooted the hardest for. I've been trying to see if there is a common denominator, or if others have a common denominator.

As far as Robby....I love his positivity, honesty, love of his family and his wonderful sense of humor. I think Robby is a very loyal person to his people and I find that attractive as well. Huge upside to Robby is his quirky personal style and that he owns it. I always appreciate a sense of originality and uniqueness in a person. And a comfortable sense of self. He is a good guy. Also...I love Moscow Mules too....so there is that commonality.

Are you able to take some time to think about what that common denominator might be?  Something in their personalities? Looks? Outlook on life?...?


@Nonina, it's interesting that you chose Brooks in comparison to Robby. I never saw them in action on their seasons surprisingly but I can see some similarities. They are beautiful men with glorious bodies  

To me Mia, it's their sensitivity that might be the common denominator. The sensitive side of their nature to see the good or the bright side of things. To step out of the "manly box" and to get in touch with their "feminine side" yet not feel threaten about their sexuality. Some people might feel threaten however and mistake their sensitivity for being too effeminate.
I think that they are in tuned to the feelings of women and women will love them for that. They are eye candy and women will love them for that. Men, imo, will feel threatened by those qualities imo.

I think that sensitivity and being in tune to feelings of women completely sums it up in a nutshell for me. The smoking physique never hurts, but it is a specific blend of manly/feminine traits that gets me. I'd say that the special blend of traits applies to my DH as well.

Oh man I seriously had a Daniel moment just now. I was sitting here wondering what a smoker's physique typically looks like then I realized you meant that he had a smokin' hot bod.
