SamF was accused of being a party girls at one point. But now you hardly see her partying except a few times with Sarah from Tim season who is her BF. This picture I think she was out with Steph and the boys recognise them and took a picture. It's very natural I think for them to them pictures with fans. I think we are jumping into unnecessary conclusion based on SM.

IA. Screams Nikki to me. Also he mentioned working on the relationship was priority. Kind of hard to do that with someone not in WA Not sure what Alex and Olena have been up to, but seems very convenient with Nikki being from WA. He also mentions secret cars and not private jets hehe

RICHIE Strahan is counting down the days until he can finally be seen out in public with his girlfriend. There are five sleeps until this season’s The Bachelor hands out his last rose, following weeks of sometimes awkward dates with 25 prospective life partners, leaving a genetically blessed final three.

Richie’s girlfriend has been kept so secret that apart from producers on a need-to-know basis, only his mother knows who he has chosen.

“I’ll be able to go and get a coffee at my local cafe with my girl,” Richie tells BW Magazine. “It is always the simple things in life you enjoy the most. The whole point of me going on this show was to meet someone I can potentially spend the rest of my life with. My main focus now is my relationship and trying to work at that.”

With Strahan seeming so very keen to settle down during his one-on-one dates during the series, it’s something of a bombshell to learn the strapping 31-year-old is in no rush to tie the knot.

“In terms of marriage, picket fences, kids and houses and all that stuff, you need to build a strong foundation before you start taking those huge steps. I think about that a lot but you’ve got to crawl before you walk,” he says.

Details of Thursday night’s final episode have been a closely guarded secret since production wrapped earlier this year. Channel 10 has worked hard to keep everything under wraps and hired extra security to keep paparazzi at bay during filming of the grand final in Bali.

Strahan, a rope access technician working on oil rigs and construction sites, has also gone to great lengths to keep the romance alive with his chosen one — even before Australia met the contestants when the series launched in July.

“You film a TV show for three months, which is a whirlwind in and of itself, and then coming off the back of that, you’ve got two months where I’ve got one of the biggest secrets that everyone wants to find out about,” he explained.

“There’ve been secret hideaways, secret cars and secret rendezvous so it has been another unique and exciting component that I’ve experienced. To have it finally come out in less than a week’s time is great so I can start moving on with my life and start enjoying getting back to reality and the normality of it.

“This whole experience is like nothing you could ever imagine.”

What “normal” looks like is yet to be determined, with fans still awaiting Richie’s final decision between Perth real estate agent Nikki, Sydney make-up artist Olena and Melbourne single mum Alex.

“I’m never one to look too far into the future,” he says. “I’d like to just take things one step at a time. When it comes to my work, I’ve built a fantastic career in rope access and there’s some big stuff happening there. But, really, what I’m going to be focusing on is my relationship.”

Strahan’s star turn follows previous Bachelors Tim Robards, Blake Garvey and Sam Wood.

Producers chose Richie after he appeared as a loveless hopeful on the last season of The Bachelorette, narrowly missing out on securing the affections of Sam Frost.

Having experienced the show as a contestant and now as The Bachelor, he’s still not sure why his story resonated. But it is this down-to-earth charm that has won him countless female admirers.

“I don’t know why they chose me; I’m just a regular Aussie bloke,” he says. “It’s a show that people just love to talk about. We all like a beautiful love story and that is the underlying grassroots of what this show is about. But no one wants to sit around watching someone talking love stuff the whole time. It is the drama, the heightened emotion, watching someone put their heart on their sleeve and really go for it. It’s the awkward moments, the beautiful moments — that’s the fantastic stuff.”

Strahan insists he hasn’t changed as a result of becoming a household name. “My life might have changed but me, as a person, I’m the same.”

Strahan is perhaps a little naive when it comes to the motivation of some of his suitors, dismissing suggestions some appeared on the show as a platform to launch their own media careers.

“You’d assume that part of the casting process would be to weed out people just in it for fame,” he says. “The whole point of the show is to meet someone and fall in love, so to have an ulterior motive to find fame out of it would be a bit of a kick in the face to the people watching the show.”

He adds: “I’m sure there are some people that apply for shows like this that have those thoughts in mind but at the end of the day, that is their decision and what they want to do.”
