Re: Art
I love it. I used to do a lot of needlework. I think I will be doing some again soon.

Re: Art
It makes me think of a few things: 1) how intrinsic and complicated they are yet beautiful. 2)They aren't man-made or have anything to do with man at all. How many other worldly things are beyond us and our comprehension and how small we as humans probably are in the scheme of things.

Re: Art
So true. I always thought anything snowflake, cards, printing material, was just imagination. I have a snowflake necklace and earring set similar to the first one in the first row. I had no idea that's what they really look like. I'm too busy cursing and shovelling.
It's an eye opener to appreciate mother nature.

Re: Art
Yesterday I went to the ROM in Toronto to see the Chihuly Exhibit. It was absolutely beautiful. The things that man can do with glass are incredible and unlike every other art show, he actually encourages people to take pictures! Here are a few of mine.
The size here looks deceptive. It's an actual full sized canoe filled with all kinds of blown glass. It's set up on a mirrored surface to mimic water.
This is also set on mirrored glass. It is just a small part of a much larger exhibit. It is like you are underwater looking at all the algae and coral. So many intricate little details.
This is actually a ceiling that you are looking up into. With the light coming through it is a kaleidoscope of colour.

You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.
