Even with all the imbalance between Lee's screen time and Matty's the viewing public still has him as a probable F1. Imagine if he got the same screen time as Matty... that would be too easy to call

I guess I can see what you're saying its so weird that this was so short compared to the other F2. IMO - i don't get why they cut the notebook scene. Cutting scenes with non-F2 i understand but that looked amazing why wouldn't you air that? Even if its obvs...

I dont agree about that it would be to easy with the same screen time. They could still choose not to show us the great moments.

I do wonder about the difference in screen time. That must mean that Lee will not be the bachelor I guess. Usually they show us a lot of the one they want us to like to be the next bachelor so that could be the reason for them to show so much from her time with Matty. The change in the women's age could also come from Matty wanting a family soon, he needs older women ;).

BUT!!!

I found her good bye to Matty the most tender one. I looked at all the good byes a lot and with Jake its a big no from what they chose to show us. HE puts HER arms around his neck but she doesn't really move them. Later she has her hands in between their chests like to push him away. (I think he would have left if it wasn't for Courntey). With Lee I didn't see that much emotion (of course she is into him but she didn't relly do so much). She grabbed him a little at the side. With Matty however she put her arms around his neck and caressed him while kissing him. They also chose not to show their greeting. Just really short. They cut it as soon as they kissed. And then they showed a lot of obstacles. I just don't know. I was so sure he would be F2 but now I start to wonder if he is F1. If he is not F1 I feel sure he will be the next bachelor. He has soooo much screen time.

Lees date was so good. Too good? I just don't know. It was silly how they made up these obstacles that was only there because they needed some. That was so obvious IMO that they just made them up. That could be a F1 sign. That his date was only 10 min long is a bad sign though for me, at least after what I remember from US bachelor/bachelorette. Jojo and Becca got dates cut short and not their F1`s (not Home towns though). I remember discussions about that and what it could mean. BUT somehow I do still believe Lee is her F1 (and if I would have an guarantee that Matty would be the next bachelor I would hope for that

As I wrote in my other posts, I may be on the Lee train but that doesn't mean I think Lee is F1.

I have been unsure of Lee as F1 since before his 2nd SD and when I thought Jake may be F1 and Lee F3 (if Jake is in Singapore then I can see Lee still as F3 potentially and Matty or Jake F1). If F2 really is Matty and Lee then I am thinking Lee may be F2 as I posted upthread.

I will need more s/caps etc, to sleuth and confirm but while I may see/feel a love story with Lee and Georgia I am not sure that it is a F1-story (and I sleuth those two things differently)

Ok - I have a few questions

1) What was the timeline between Georgia's FRC and the finale of Richie's season?

2) Was Georgia's season finished and completely edited before Richie's season finished airing?

3) Would TPTB make changes to Georgia's edit and storyline after the backlash of Richie's final choice?

4) Or are TPTB complete  and they don't care if the public is happy as long as the ratings are up? - but the ratings aren't up.

5) Do you think that the ratings slump for Georgia's season is because people are pissed off with the ending of Richie's season where they wanted to see the love story not the stage five clinger story or because Georgia is a relative unknown and for some reason the Bachelor is always more popular than the Bachelorette?

6) Is it possible that TPTB want to give the public the love story they felt they missed out on in Richie's season to help curry favour with the public and boost ratings?

I don't think the backlash that happened with Richie's season will happen in this case. Perhaps if Jake wins there'll be some negativity but I think either Lee or Matty winning will be ok as they're both favorites and I don't think the contrast between them is anything like the one between Nikki and Alex. JMO, of course

Anyway I'm not sure it was a sleuthing observation but thought it was pretty cute

Q1. Georgia finished filming on the 26th August (?) and Richie's finale aired 15th/16th September

Q2/Q3. Soz no idea

Q4. Because ratings are drastically down from Bachelorette last year and Bachelor this year its hard to say how much change has been affected by the edits because people only got pissed at the end. Bach 4 had a lower aggregate average than Bach 3 but I think Sam Wood was a better lead.

Q5. In Australia the highest rated Bach/Bette episode was Sam Frost's finale - despite a HUGE spoiler by DM outting that day - got 1.52 million views. Richie got 1.32m and Sam W got 1.48m respectively. Sam Frost might be hard to compare as there was so much public goodwill for her and people were invested in her love story. She had the most obvious edit I have ever seen and her F2 hadn't even gotten a single SD (in a truncated season, but still!) So perhaps people didn't care if they knew who won they just wanted to see Sam get her happy ending.

Richie's season filmed = approx March 10 - FRC/June 1 (roughly 3 months filming)

Richie's season finished airing = 15 Sept
Georgia's season finished filming = 26 August (so roughly 3 weeks in between filming FRC and Richie's season finale aired)

Not sure if it was edited completely as they could finished editing while Georgia's season has aired, especially for recent episodes.
IMO, I think they have changed the edit, especially for past few episodes

IMO, I think the back-to-back formula allows them to make changes to edit and especially based on the backlash of Richie's finale choice, I think that they could have made changes to the edit, especially in more recent episodes.

It's possible they don't care since they didn't care with Richie's season. They already have Bach S5 in the works so it didn't seem to impact anything as another season is already being cast for and announced.

Hard to say. I think that what may have been different this year is that the Bach and Bette US shows (Ben and JoJo's seasons) on TV in Australia this year and I personally think that after seeing those and then Richie's (even if on totally different channels and not the same amount of viewers), audiences may have been a bit worn out since it was new for the US shows to air (within a day that they aired in the US).

I think there may be other factors as well, but the ratings for Richie's season were down from the beginning so it wasn't so much the lack of love story. In fact, the ratings went significantly up by the end of Richie's season so it may account for viewers watching more for Nikki's story and the backlash was after the FRC aired (so didn't impact ratings).

Georgia's season ratings I do think could also be impacted by this fatigue, especially after Richie's season and that Georgia's season started the week after Richie's finale. Also, Georgia being new could have been part of that as well. Sam Frost actually had higher ratings than the Bachelor seasons, so in her specific case, The Bachelorette was more popular. In Georgia's case, she has the lowest ratings of this year and last year. Why that is exactly I think could be a mix of the things aforementioned but also it may be that audiences just aren't that interested anymore. Hard to say

It is possible. It is also possible that since Bette AU is only in it's season 2 they want to focus more on a love story.
