THE Bachelorette’s Georgia Love branded Alex Nation a “crazy person” in a candid moment during a live radio interview this morning.

The 27-year-old had been attempting to explain the difference between the recent Bachelor series and her own when she made the remark.

“Mine is playing out differently. There doesn’t seem to be a really clear favourite, or a clear crazy person,” she told NovaFM’s Fitzy and Wippa show this morning.

Love was clearly referring to Richie’s final choice, Alex, who was painted throughout the season as both the favourite and a “stage-five clinger”.

Once she realised what she’d said, she quickly tried to backtrack, telling Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli: “I don’t think she is [crazy], but that’s how Alex came across.”

The former TV journalist may not have just one clear favourite, but there are certainly a few contestants who have caught her eye — including mechanical plumber Lee Elliott, fireman Cameron Cramley and industrial designer Courtney Dober.

No matter who she gives the final rose to, Love revealed she’s worried about attracting the same kind of backlash that Richie endured after choosing Alex over runner-up Nikki Gogan.

“It does go through your mind, considering the reaction they got,” she admitted.

“It is scary to think people could totally hate me for my choice!”

Interesting listen.   Tiffany Dunk interviews Osher every week for Daily Telegraph and has interviewed all the contestants.  She talks about the final 5 towards the middle of the podcast.

“It’s such a big decision to make to meet a partner’s family, let alone a potential partner’s family,” she said. “Family is hugely important to me so I understood how big a thing it will be to meet these guys’ families, knowing that for all but one of them, it will be the last time I see them. “To decide whose families I would meet was huge.”

While she said she had no doubt that all men left on the show would make incredible life partners, she did admit each had cons to go along with their multiple pros. “It wasn’t a case of pitting them against each other and deciding who had more pros, it was deciding where the feelings were at this point,” she said.

Georgia’s pros and cons list

Jake Ellis
Jake: an immediate connection.
Pros: “I had an immediate connection and chemistry with Jake. And more than anything else, he makes me feel amazing. He does little things to let me know he’s thinking about me and just the way he looks and speaks to me makes me feel incredibly special.”
Cons: “Jake had the first date and so much has happened since then, I’ve found connections and chemistry with other guys as well. That’s a worry in my mind that I need to make sure that is still there (with Jake) and it wasn’t just the excitement of the first date.”

Matty Johnson
Matty: the joker.
Pros: “Matty makes me laugh more consistently than I think anyone ever has. That’s something that made me enjoy his company from the start. He also showed me that he cared about me and was willing to fight for me. He did little things to try to get to know me better and vice versa.”
Cons: “The fact that we do joke around so much is a little bit of a concern because I question that when times are tough or things go wrong how Matty and I would deal with that. I want to test if there’s a serious side there as well because we just laugh everything off so much.”

Lee Elliot
Lee: the age factor.
Pros: “Lee gave me sparks and nervousness on the first night, absolutely. But as soon as we got into conversation everything about me relaxed. There was a familiarity and ease — we both felt like we’d known each other forever. Plus puns and dad jokes are something we definitely clicked over. He makes me laugh a lot.”
Cons: “At 35, the fact Lee is quite a bit older than me is worrying me a bit. I’m ready to find my life partner but I’m not ready to have kids yet or move to the burbs with the white-picket fence. It makes me nervous that someone that much older than me might be ready for those things before I am.”

Courtney Dober
Courtney: the intriguer.
Pros: “Courtney really intrigues me. Not in a way that I want to sit down and interview him, but I just want to be talking to him all the time. I love being around him and having conversations. We can talk for hours and I find him so interesting. I never feel like it’s done with Courtney.”
Cons: “Courtney is very difficult to read. My whole story with him has been a real rollercoaster where we have some amazing highs and we have this amazing connection that’s unlike anything I’ve had before. But he makes me worry and he makes me question everything and I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing.”

Cameron Cranley
Cameron: happy and positive.
Pros: “Cam is just the happiest, most positive presence to have around. He lights up the room. Even though he’s the youngest (at 26), he’s mature and emotionally he certainly spoke to me a lot about past relationships and how he’s been hurt and that he’s in a place where he wants to find the one. That’s something people a lot older than him weren’t able to admit.”
Cons: “With Cam, being from Western Australia is a big thing. He’s got a job where he couldn’t pick up and move anywhere else. So for me to be with him I have to know 100 per cent because it would be me making a massive change to my life. Plus Cam is still a little nervous around me. I want him to shake that so I can be confident going ahead.”

Georgia Love has confirmed that not only did she find a boyfriend on The Bachelorette, but they've been watching the show together this whole time.

"Watching my story with my guy is amazing," the 27-year-old told The Daily Telegraph.

"Seeing it progress and hearing what's he's saying when I'm not there - I'm loving it so much."

Her father and sister know the identity of her top two beaus, who they met during filming, but Love will not be revealing her final choice to anyone before The Bachelorette finale on October 27.

“I wanted this time where it is just the two of us because as soon as everyone knows — everyone knows. So this is the only time it could just be us and our little secret,” she said.

She said the two had met a couple of times since filming wrapped six weeks ago.

“The whole point of the show is to get into a real relationship so it would be unrealistic if we weren’t allowed to have any time together,” Love said.

“Ten and the production company are very good with organising that, but it’s all very ‘secret squirrel’ business.”

Exactly! (Laughs) There were lots of Daves last year and there’s not one this year. There’s Matteo, Matt and Matty instead.

At least it’s not like a show where if two contestants have the same name, one has to completely change theirs.
Exactly! Because that would be very awkward if at the end I’ve been calling the love of my life by a different name, or a weird, made-up nickname (laughs).

Georgia Love Dishes On The Intruders Entering 'The Bachelorette' Tonight

We've seen four episodes of the current season of 'The Bachelorette', so ELLE caught up with Georgia Love to discuss the two intruders entering the mansion tonight, the connections she's formed with certain men, and the major differences between dating on the show and dating in real life.

When did you find out you were getting intruders?
Literally as I was walked up to the turret where they entered—I had no idea! I had thought about it when I first started, and remembered that The Bachelorette last year didn’t have them. I did the maths in my head of knowing how many weeks we had, knowing how many guys there were, and I thought, ‘It doesn’t check out, there are no intruders,’ and never thought about it again. And then at the cocktail party tonight, I’d just walked into the cocktail party, sat down, and Osher walked in and said, “Come with me, I’ve got something for you.” And I was freaking out not knowing what was going on. We walked up to the turret and he dropped the bombshell. That’s when I found out, and then the first one walked up the stairs! And you’ll absolutely see it on my face—I had no idea what was happening.

What can you tell us about Todd and Matteo?
Todd is a Gold Coast guy who just relocated to Melbourne. He was in civil engineering and just decided, ‘You know what? I don’t like this. I want to do musical theatre,’ so he gave it up and is trying to do musical theatre—which I love, because I’m a massive musical theatre nerd at heart. So that’s Todd. And Matteo is the Italian stallion—he’s a model and an actor who’s Italian, and he’s got the beautiful accent and the dark skin, and the gorgeous blue eyes. He’s very dreamy and mysterious. He’s Italian and living in Bondi, like proper Italian—he’s only been living in Australia for a year.

Do you know if they knew they were intruders?
I believe they did, yes.

So you’ve got a Matt D, a Matty J, and now a Matteo.

Well exactly. Very true.

Do you think all of the guys entered the show for the right reason, or for the same reason as you?
I like how you put that, because I always say it’s not up to me to say what the right reason is. The same reason as me—no, probably not. But that’s the kind of thing, that… Well, you get 18 guys as it is, and everyone’s gonna have their own reasons for doing that kind of thing. So that was up to me to decide what I thought their reasons for being there were, and find the ones who were legit and who actually wanted to fall in love, and thought they might be able to with me.

Were you dubious of anyone?
Yeah, yep, I definitely was, and I don’t want to give away too much now, but it’s a theme that comes up. And it’s something that I think any person going into any relationship needs to get to a point where they go, ‘OK, are we on the same page here? Are we both wanting the same things for this experience?’ And this Bachelorette style of doing this dating is doing that, even more heightened.

Can you talk to me about some of the guys you’ve had one-on-one time with? So Lee, can you talk about your connection with him?
So when I first met Lee on the red carpet he made me really nervous, and I got that giggly, kind of embarrassed excitement with him. So I was really nervous going into my date with him, because I knew I’d been a bit of a blubbery nervous schoolgirl with him. But that date was so lovely—we spoke so much, found out we had all these things in common, and by the end of the date it was like I’d known this guy for years and years. All those nerves flushed away and I felt very comfortable with him by the end of that date, which was a really nice feeling.

How about Courtney? Courtney is an interesting one to me as a viewer, but you seemed quite into him on the last episode.
Yeah. Courtney is an interesting one. He’s a bit of a complex character. So I obviously had a great first impression with him—we clicked on the red carpet so well at that first cocktail party. He spoke so well and he really, really interests me, and I always wanted to know more and more about him. And then that date was funny because he was so in his comfort zone, doing his activity, doing the skurfing, and then when we sat down to have that one-on-one chat it was fun. And then the nerves really came out. He hasn’t been on a date, let alone a first date, in five years, so it was this mix of going, ‘Are you really nervous? Or are you maybe not as into me as I am into you?’ It’s that thing a lot of girls do when meeting or making those connections with guys—second-guessing everything.

In the real world you have your girlfriends to dissect everything with. How did you deal with that? Who were you able to confide in? Or if you couldn’t, how were you processing all of that on your own?
It was really, really hard because I am someone who talks through everything with my girlfriends, big time. So being in there and doing all of that on my own was really hard. But there was actually something quite comforting about that as well, because I knew I was never getting any outside influences. I wasn’t having somebody give me their opinion on something, and that affecting what I thought about it. It was all completely me in my head and my heart, and what I was feeling. And that’s the point of it all. It was hard, and it’s harder at this stage, having this secret that I can’t reveal and can’t talk about. But there’s something exciting about that too, because I know there’s an end date at least.

And it’s funny because my two best friends are really different, so that can be a hard thing when I am dating people—I get one piece of advice from one, and completely opposite from the other. So with this I was like, ‘Right, I’ve got to think for myself, not what Jess and Steph will say, but what I think!’

How about your connection with Jake?
It feels like forever ago now! I had this really, really intense chemistry with him straight away on that red carpet. He had this intense eye contact, which in that nervous situation was really comforting. There’s just something there for him, this real chemistry—that’s just the word for it. And you could see after that first date I was… It was so embarrassing, sitting watching it at home—I was bright red, I was so blushy and nervous and giggly. There’s just this real butterfly feeling with him, and this nervous energy and excitement when I’m with him.

Do you prefer single dates or group dates?
Ooh, that’s hard! Because they’re so totally different. I definitely prefer the single dates as a way of getting to know the guys, and explore my relationships with them. But the group dates are so much fun! And it’s great to see the boys in this often competitive environment—I’m competitive too so I love getting down [with them]. That’s why I loved the billy karts. I love getting down and dirty, and being involved with it. And it’s interesting to see who stands out in those group settings. But there is nothing more important than getting to know the guys and exploring our connections than the single dates.

It’s like the guys get to live out their 10-year-old dreams on the group dates, as adults.
(Laughs) Exactly! Playing dress-up, jumping in jumping castles, racing billy karts! Exactly. We always said it was a bit like adult school camp for the boys, living in the mansion together—they’re in their bunk beds, playing dress-ups and competing in numerous games.

I know from last season of Bachelorette a lot of the group dates were the boys doing things and Sam watching, or adjudicating, and I was like, “Stuff it, get me involved! I want to play around and do that as well.”

How did you find the rose ceremonies?
Awful. Awful—every single one of them. No matter how easy the decision was for me, or hard, from week to week, it’s just an awful feeling being there—it’s the worst part of the week for sure. Some weeks I was confident about who I was sending home for various reasons, like I could see there was no connection or no spark, but it’s still a horrible thing to do, to stand there and look these guys in the eyes. The tension in the room is so high—it’s the most silent place in the world, I’m sure of it, and it just gets harder and harder the further along it goes. I have made connections with these guys, and developed relationships and feelings for them. Having to tear that down, it’s awful.

That last one seemed so hard, especially after Tommy had opened up to you.
Tommy is such a beautiful human, and that’s why that one was so hard, because he had opened up to me, which I absolutely loved. I loved for him that he was able to do that as well. But having him open up so much, and be so honest and vulnerable, it would have been unfair of me to lead him on any further, when I could see that there wasn’t going to be a connection there long-term, in a romantic sense. Having someone open up to you like that, and then sending them home, it was awful. But he’s a wonderful guy and I love that Australia’s been able to see that. He’s going to make someone very, very happy someday.

How doe someone get on your radar? Like with Matty J—he seemed to come out of nowhere.
That’s what I really love about how all of this worked, is there were those couple of guys on the first night who gave me the butterflies, that spark, and in a real world scenario, if you have that with someone first meeting that’s what you explore. But then someone like Matty J I didn’t have that with at the first cocktail party, but sitting down with him we had this great banter and this great connection. I was like, ‘I really like being around this guy,’ and if I had gone on first impression, like if I’d met him out a bar, maybe I would have never made that connection with him then. I think so much of it is about enjoyment of being with somebody, whether it’s because you enjoy their humour, or you enjoy the feeling they give you. It’s about wanting to see someone again.

Do you think you will continue to share your love story with your partner on social media when this is over? You may have seen today Sam Frost has deleted all of her social media accounts.
I would like to be able to, and I think that’s the whole thing—people come on this journey with you to see you fall in love. It’s almost a kick in the face to straight away go, “OK, it’s just all about us.” People get invested and people want to watch that love story continue. So I’d like to be able to, but I completely see where Sam is at, and what it’s got to for her, which is awful. But I know from having been a fan on the show before, if a couple came out at the end and were like, “Thanks for all your support but we’re going straight into our private life,” it’s almost a bit of a kick in the teeth. You’re bringing them on this journey with you and they want to see it continue. You’ve got to find a happy medium, and I think that’s the hard part.
