That would likely be the case. Just like when DeAnna finally began to see how Brad could go home with no one. DeAnna I think wishes she had done the same, but she just didn't want to pull a Brad.

I hope it is the case. I was upset, which I get but once he see's things from where she was at, I hope that he understands how difficult it was for her. So happy that she has had JP to help her through all the difficult times that she went through on this journey.

I don't think he is that good of an actor. I cannot remember which interview but she said she told him that to comfort him (or something like that). He said it wasn't as dramatic as what he said to her when he told her. I'm thinking that she said it in a "friendly" kind of way which is why he was still stressing so much. I don't think they were faking it and playing along all of that time because TPTB cannot depend on anything like that. He was right when he said "she can love both of us but only be in love with one of us" which is why he couldn't guarantee himself anything. All she had to say was "you know I love you, right?" to comfort him. But she could have felt that way about Ben too and I think she did. That's what's so hard about this. The end is so abrupt for one of the guys even if you have feelings for them.

By the proposal, I think JP knew inside but was probably still shaky until he saw her from the porch/stairs. Had only Ben been as perceptive. I think JP would have known immediately even from that far away. Another way I am always sure about my pick/guess for F1 is when I cannot imagine how the F1 would take the rejection. I just couldn't picture how JP would handle it and therefore it had to be him. LOL!

Considering how much in love they were, I imagine once they were alone and in bed in the FS, things got hot and heavy and she probably let it slip. What is she supposed to do? Think about the producers (no ILY allowed) or "doin' a whata comes natchurly" (to quote Annie Get Your Gun) Of course they had a lot to tell each other. That is what the FS is for.

does a guy really think the girl he wants to propose to will only give closed mouth kisses? I know she might have been giving good kisses we just didn't see but, the majority of what we saw were tight lipped kisses, even if they were prolonged. Not to give out TMI, but I know my DH would think I was putting up roadblocks.

I remember this was debated about during Brad's season because he and Emily at that time had not french kissed yet. (If I am wrong please correct me) Brad was asked about it on the JLS. He said sometimes viewed kisses without using your tongue more romantic.

Anyways, IMO french kissing someone you love is a sign of passion. Closed mouth kisses are very sweet too sometimes. I don't think there is a wrong way to kiss someone you love. JMO

I doubt he was really scared to tell her. The producers probably had a lot to do with him not telling her until the LCD. Same with Ben. I found it odd they both waited to tell her until the LCD's.

I'm not really sure JP actually waited after Ashley told him. What they pretended for the show is another matter.

I did too. It's usually said on the FD. It's like they were both hanging it over her head. At the same time, I just cannot believe JP waited so long and was so scared to tell her. He'd told her everything else. Just didn't make sense to me.

I also don't get how both guys were so sure about some things. Ben was sure he was getting an HTD. JP was sure he was going to be in the final two. Who was telling them what and when?

I'm curious about what they were told and when as well. no idea

One thing I found odd about both Ben and JP is that neither of them thought Lucas would be eliminated before the hometown dates. Ben thought Lucas was getting the group date rose and after Lucas was eliminated, JP told Ames he wasn't expecting that. Why did they both think Lucas would stay?

Throughout the entire season and beginning with the very first RC when JP got his rose, something struck me about all of the interactions between Ashley and JP: they were all genuine but seemed almost rehearsed rather than spontaneous. In other words I kept having this nagging impression that everything they said to each other "on camera" had actually already been said before "off camera". I think they spent a lot more time together that we didn't see, and that probably explains how their relationship grew as quickly as it seemed to. I think by Hong Kong it was pretty much a done deal and most (but not all) of the guys on the show knew this.
