Good news: no Ashley/JP tabloid articles to report about this week yes

I think Life & Style did have an article listing a bunch of celeb sightings in a party article and one of the sightings was Ashley & JP at Beauty & Essex in NY on August 5th but that's it.

I don't know. Is it kind of weird for Ashley S (Ashley's BFF) to be tweeting with Ben when it is clear that Ben is not communicating with Ashley or JP at all?

The "we" did kinda catch me as odd. Constantine is the spokesperson the Benstantine? Are they going to contact Jordash as a couple at some point? Are they both pissed? Constantine is really not that articulate. Unless they quoted him wrong, what does "She was put in a very difficult decision and in the end everything worked out for the best ..." mean?

Did he mean difficult position? I'd really like the official spokesperson of the duo to have a better way with words or I'm going to have to continue to call him a knuckle dragger. LOL

Yes, she was in a difficult position/had a difficult decision. It's what she signed up for and almost paid for in blood given the reaming she got in the press and on the internet. Ben got the short end of the stick as far as the relationship. It's what he signed up for too.

I hope that someday, Benstantine can come to terms with it. Until then, they still have each other.

I don't think there's too much to read into Dino's comments. They're boilerplate, detached, vague comments that are just not trying to say anything that the tabloids would run with and working within what they can say about the show.

I think the guys realize now if they didn't before that Ashley and JP were pretty much in their own world and they know based on the Bent situation how the producers were also messing with Ashley. They've also seen the edits and have some idea of what was exaggerated and what didn't get as much play. So they probably have some understanding now of the situation Ashley was in - she knew who her F1 was and she went through the motions with the other guys. I'm sure there's still some ego bruise leftover from the fact that she was so much more into one guy and maybe some residual bitterness or embarrassment on Ben F's part but I think they're just playing the parts they're supposed to play now: the also rans who are making the most of the little spotlight they're getting.

If Ben F become the next Bachelor then he will be asked about Ashley and JP and inevitably because he's putting himself out there his words will be scrutinized for whether he's being sincere or not. I don't think it's a big deal that he hasn't publicly wished them well yet.

I hope so too, for Ben's sake as well. Maybe he didn't watch any of the episodes, but I hope he still doesn't think his connection with Ashley was stronger than what she had with JP, and that he was only chosen because it was the "safer" option. If he's still bitter or mad at either her or producers for being "led on", that's one thing, but I would hate to think he still believes Ash should have picked him in spite of the indescribable and indestructible pull she had to JP all along.

Maybe Ben has communicated privately? Or maybe Ben doesn't want to communicate with them? Ben can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. For that matter, so can Ashley S. I think the "non-communication" is blown way out of proportion.

Yeah, I think some of the guys get it but some are still bone headed. At best, they may be convinced that JP seduced her (even though they clearly have a mutual magnetic pull to one another) and that she's going to regret things. If you get Ben, Dino and Lucas together, who knows how they rationalized things. Lucas thought he'd made quite some headway with her too. But, clearly, they were all SO FAR behind that none of them could have caught up. I didn't even realize she had so many reservations about JP until the MTP/LCD. I can see how she could have talked herself into Ben. I just don't get where Ben thinks he was the risky one ... just because he lives on the west coast? I think the guys might have gotten into group think and psyched themselves into something that was no where close to reality.

It would be one thing if Ashley didn't really like/love Ben. She did and I think that deep down he knows that. Had there been no JP, I can see where Ben would have been it all the way. I think Constantine might have been a little hesitant to move too far on his boy's girl - especially since she wasn't really throwing herself at him either. If she was 95% sure it was JP by the HTDs, she didn't need Constantine clawing at her too.

We not only want our fairy tales to be perfect, we also want our break ups to be as well - especially when they aren't our own. LOL! I hope they all work things out and that when Benstantine are ready, they will give them a shout out for old times sake.

Seems like JP made it pretty clear in deed if not word that this was his girl (in a good way, i.e., he's a good match for her, and he's crazy about her), and a whole mess of guys never really emotionally invested either in respect of his sincerity and attachment, or because it wasn't very appealing to be carried along to the bitter end faking it, or maybe because Ashley didn't spark a similar intensity of feeling on their part. How Ben fell into that equation is a bit mysterious, but that's the thing about the show - "what really happened" and "what was aired" often never gets sorted out publicly, nor should it really. Who cares. She ended up with someone else, and F2's nearly universally have awesome track record of settling down with someone within a year or two, if they want to. Bevin, Tenley, Jason, Chris L, Deanna, Jenni, Melissa, Molly (!)... a long list.

I think you brilliantly summed up how most of the guys felt regarding Ashley, with the exception of Ben, Ames, and possibly Lucas (who I think may have just felt too competitive with JP to back down and let him "win"). Even Ryan admitted in his interviews post show that he knew that he couldn't really compete with JP but gave it a shot anyway, but no doubt he wasn't quite as crushed by Ashley's rejection as it seemed, if he was kind of expecting it all along. OTOH, Ben and Ames seemed to have purposely ignored any interaction Ashley had with other guys, and more or less convinced themselves that they were dating her exclusively. That worked well for them while it was happening, but it's probably why they were the two who appeared the most shell shocked when they were rejected.

I don't think so. Ben and Ashely seemed to leave things on pretty good terms during ATFR and both she and JP said nice things about him in their post-show interviews. Regardless of whether they are in current contact with Ben, there doesn't appear to be any bitterness about the situation from their end (and why would there be, really?). Also Ben hasn't said anything negative about them, so I don't think there's an issue here. They're not the best of friends but they're not having a feud either. I don't see any reason why Ashley would be upset or concerned about Ashley S. tweeting with Ben.
