According to the app instructions, he can't cancel while active and it is automatic renewal which means his credit card is charged, IMO. I think he messed up and is trying to cover his tracks.
He may not have been actively using the account, but he didn't cancel it either. Maybe he did turn off the "auto-renewal" on his phone which means he thought he cancelled it.

It would be auto renewed, that is why he could have had to reach out to them in June, to verbally have to cancel the account, alot of sites are like that.

I honestly don't know who/what I believe in this epic drama filled showdown but speaking from experience, these dating apps and sites have the sneakiest renewal policies ever. There's a ton of stuff to scroll through, a bunch of confirmations, etc., they really do try and make you stay and continue paying without realizing it.

This is just crazy...hard to know who to believe, but for him to come outright and deny allegations of using the app, well, its a bold and not clever move if he is lying, so at the least hopefully he thought it through

JoJo has been faving my tweets these last couple of days and even responded to me today, but I sent her like 8 tweets in regards to dumping Jordan, not believing Jordan, etc. in the last 3 hours. So she's probably gonna ignore me now.. What I do for us all and her! I sacrificed her faving my tweets! Ughhhh.
