I have a new foster! It's been a while, what with Ozzie getting sick and crossing the Rainbow bridge and then wanting Winston to settle in.

Rerun arrived a week ago. He is 8 years old and finds himself in foster care once again. His original owner passed 5 years ago. He went into foster with us at ABCR and was adopted, but his family is splitting up and they have surrendered him back to us. He is now at my home and is a sweetie. He is not crazy about my duo even though they basically ignore him and is spending much of his time under my bed or hiding under the couch. When I am alone with him he comes out and rubs himself all over me and loves being petted. I'm hoping a few more days and he will relax, better yet, get adopted. Fingers crossed.

I follow a few pet accounts on twitter and every time I see adorable pic's it makes me want another Shih Tzu but my heart can't take it. My boy is going to be 14 yrs old on Halloween. I'm grateful knock on wood he is amazing at that age.

@GuardianAngel Rerun is doing great. He settled in and was a big love bug, but fortunately he got himself adopted! I just got home from dropping him off to his new mom.

Tinkerbelle is my latest foster. She is as sweet as could be. Her mom is very ill in the hospital and just wants someone to look after her baby. She is 8 years old and has been settling in with me for the last couple of weeks. Black truly is slimming because let me tell you, in person she looks like a little butterball turkey. She recently went on petfinder so hopefully she will find herself a loving home soon.

@GuardianAngel Yes, she was very worried. She emailed me and I've stayed in touch and have sent her some photos and kept her updated. These are the hard ones.

@Sprite oh man, that breaks my heart. I hope she gets better soon. Keeping her updated would provide some peace of mind knowing her girl is being looked after.

Merry Christmas to Tinkerbelle! Not only has she lost over half a pound in the last month, she got herself adopted a couple of days ago, just in time for Christmas. Her new mom is very happy and has sent me a few photos and emails about how she is settling in. I have also informed her previous owner so that she has peace of mind because she has been very worried and now she can just concentrate on her own health.
