I never knew this. I have always been there with them and for all but the first, I have always had the vet come to my home so they are less stressed.

I can't imagine leaving anyone of my fur babies when the last time comes. I'v always held them in my arms and waited for them to pass. It was important for both of us for sure.

When I was told something was terribly wrong with my little girl, on a Monday, I prayed all day every minute, please let me be with her if this is the end of her little life. That's all I cared about. Wednesday morning I was with her. I'm so grateful my prayers were answered.

I know it's unbearable for some people. A friend of my mother's just went through this last month. She had her daughters take her little girl, she couldn't handle it.

I can not imagine after all the unconditional love a pet brings, not being there for them especially at our final goodbye. Saying goodbyes are heart wrenching, but not saying goodbye imo denies myself closure. I would have a hard time with that.

too cute. Reminds me of when I went to look at the litter when my boy was born almost 12 yrs ago. There were his three sisters and one brother. They were scurrying around like that.

@Sprite.....Momo update. He was found August 4th. My friend had to go to WA state for a wedding and her neighbor just happened to be a foster mom for rescued kitties. What a blessing. Momo was in the best hands and happy to report, my friend came home to a potty trained kitty .

This is too funny. My Louie does the exact same thing. I keep a stash of toys for him by the door so he always has a toy to grab. If there aren't any toy's he'll run looking for one.
