Losing a pet is losing a family member. There is no other way to look at it.
Kasha is 16 now. The last few months have been difficult. Each day now is a blessing. I suspect she is having some canine cognitive issues. I try to be more patient and loving.

Mustang and Kels, I am so sorry for both of your losses. Our furry friends are truly family. My sister 'inheirited ' cats which both lived into their 20s. We were never sure their ages, but the vet estimated. She had them for years and even I (not a cat person..allergic) became very attached. Kasha, please give your namesake a hug from me. I know how precious she is to you.

@Kels0012 So sorry for the your loss. It truly is losing a beloved family member who only wants to be loved and to love us.

Meet Peyton, my Havanese girl born 5/7/17, brought home on 7/7/17.

1 day old. Her name at the breeder's was Cosmo.



3 weeks old.



7 weeks with her 2 litter mates (she's on the right).

Yes, I named her Peyton because of Peyton Lambton!

Have to admit that I am not that much a fan of the show but I do really like Peyton (and Chris). However, if my little girl had been a boy, the name would still have been Peyton... after Peyton Manning! I really love the name Peyton!

@havadrpepper Adorable. My good friend has two Havanese's both girls. One is 5 yrs old, and she just got another pup in February. She's around 8 months old now.
