This is a blessing in disguise. I wonder what the "circumstances" are though.. So many possibilities. Whatever it is/was had to have been sudden. Didn't he just sign some sort of contract for the campaign last weekend?

I know I supported his decision, but I'm relieved too. That's a lot of pressure right now and they have so much on their plates. Politics, if he wants it in the future, will still be there. No idea what the "circumstances" were, but marry Lauren, get settled there... Then maybe find a seat or position he has a better chance of winning anyway, if that's what he wants. IMO.

^^ I wouldn't be too surprised by ABC pressuring them, but the network has "fairness" (i.e. equal time) constraints- which would be very expensive for a state level position. He's young. There will be plenty of time to pursue a run some other year.

Well we all know what those sources really mean.....I think when Ben was running for congress.....abc obviously knew this....it was published when the new show news came out.....if they had a problem with it I think they would have done something about it a long time ago....that sucks I think being in a position where your basically ambushed by the network is hard.....ide

So if ABC was threatening to take away the wedding I guess it will be broadcasted and they are paying for it. I'm just wondering if it'll be on ABC or Freefom. This is better for him and Lauren in the long run IMO. Ben still needs to mature a bit. In a few years he may realize he really doesn't want to get into politics anyway.
