Yes nd agree, he's been through things we never have, makes you grow up faster..and for some take life more seriously than others, it does leave scars.

As to the BL Litta, I don't know, not sure, their kissing/staring in most of those clips-also he seems to be the one initiating in some of them, we're only seeing bits and pieces of what they want us to see. Hard to know what happened during/after hometown, we don't see him specifically in Thailand, so who knows, it really could go either way.

Just to give Jojo the benefit of doubt here, there are really very few guys she is genuinely in to IMO. Luke is one of them. 

The rest she will give her best shot imo.  that is clear from all the kissing taking place. Now we have seen other female leads do exactly the same including ones that till today I am surprised at ( des and Emily) so as it stands NBD. But all these are not coming from a place of hard core interest. It's part of the process of figuring things out and removing the weeds.

@GuardianAngel or mods, could we get a thread for Luke whenever possible? No rush at all. Since Luke seems to have a HTD and not yet sure on Jordan maybe having a thread for Luke too may help with posts on him. TIA

Do F1s' usually get a substantial amount of screen time in episode 1? I know JP, Chris S, & Shawn B did. I can't remember if Catherine did. Not sure if Nikki, Josh M, or Whitney did? Does anyone recall? I'm pondering this because neither Robby or Chase got very much screen time during episode one (the 2 we know are in Thailand), while the mystery men (Jordan & Luke) got a fair amount of it, but so far no SCs of them in Thailand. 

Does anyone remember an F1 being concealed from FDs in the season preview? Kaitlyn's & Andi's, we were left questioning whether they would continue on with a fantasy destination...I know Chris S. & Lauren were featured. Just trying to piece it together and find a pattern.

Hey AC I'm going to try answering some of these ??? With with some Radom facts. 

Overall I'd say that anyone that gets FIR will get time shown on the first ep regardless of where they end up in the season. So there's that.

I'd like to take catherine and Sean's season out of trends because that really skews trends and predictions. IMO.

Most recent seasons have featured the f1 at least a little bit in ep1 and 2 as well.
Nikki, Emily, 1f, Chris soules f1, josh, lauren and JP etc were all shown in a convo with the lead on night one. Shawn was shown 3 times but he got the fir. Roberto also had his convo shown plus the fir. 
One slight anomaly was des, Brooks had no convo shown, Chris had literally 1/2 a sentence. Drew had a full convo plus the FIR shown ( prob. Because he was fir see my first sentence in this post ).


As a general rule, in recent seasons yes they show the conversations between the f1 and the lead on episode 1 and a tiny bit in each episode going forward till their 1on1. Then after that they go full steam ahead.

I have been on the train where I have waited to see a connection (real or edited) between a contestant and the lead only because I knew from  SCs that they made it far and that left me disappointed and frustrated.


To the question of the potential  f1 contestant being hidden in the season preview then yes they do.  I'm guessing it depends on the storyline they want to portray.

Ed was missing post his return. At least  sleuthers took forever in those days to identify his green shorts thinking he had left the show. They never clearly showed his face or any closeup of him in the promos.it was all kip and Reid.

Emily was another on that they showed nothing of post f6. Her storyline was will she allow Brad to meet rikkitik.

So it is possible. JM observations.

At this point two weeks in, this is how I think JoJo is feeling about her presumptive F4:
1) Jordan
2) Luke, in very close 2nd
3) Chase
4) Robby


*My personal view on the edits so far:
F1-Chase, his thus far seems to resemble an F1 edit most, imo
F2-Robby, think Kiptyn, the cute and exciting one who says all the right things, but isn't really that emotionally invested in the long run, TPTB haven't given us much to invest in Robby yet to be a real contender, hence Jo keeps him at F2 so the final cut is easier
F3- Jordan, based on his story line so far, and possible next lead 
OR F3-Mystery Man we are not yet aware of (could it be Luke?)
F4- Luke, compelling back story like Jordan, no Thailand caps yet, also in running for next lead
OR F4-Mystery Man 

F5+- Jordan may be in here, too, if he decides to take himself out*

ETA:According to date order/history:
F1-Jordan (story arc, lots of airtime, on a date each episode, hidden Thailand time?)
F2-Robby (Thailand SCs, not much airtime in episode 1 or 2)
     Luke (story arc, lots of airtime, hidden Thailand time?)
     Mystery Man
F3-Chase (Thailand SCs but may have the dreaded 2:1 date, weaker story arc, not much airtime in episode 1, camera pans could be +/-)
F4-Luke (no Thailand SCs)
     Jordan (no Thailand SCs)
     Mystery Man

Just random speculation here...

I've been doing some thinking about Robby. Clearly for JoJo and him to go at it like they did, they would have had some deeper conversation/connection that we didn't see. His edit, however, seems so odd. Frankly, it reminds me a little of Chris Soules with Andi. I never felt that the farmer had much of a chance to be F1. His edit in Andi's season (imo) was to keep him relevant for the next Bachelor.

Could it be, at the start of JoJo's season, TPTB were hoping/counting on Jordan or Luke to be the next Bachelor? Hence, the intros and presence (Luke less so) in the first three episodes. Maybe by the time episode 4 rolled around, the editors realized that Jordan was on track to be F1. Even with Luke's great backstory, after seeing Luke in action, maybe TPTB were a little worried about his intensity and ability to pull off a season. (Sorry Lost I so love it when were on the same team...maybe next time!) When the editors looked around for the guy who could be in that position, perhaps Robby is who they spotted. Maybe now we'll see Robby thrust to the forefront to see how Bachelornation responds to him.

^Litta, good speculation. JoJo does tell us and him that they have had very little time together, but "it's comfortable." If I had to guess, I'd say that they were rounding out the F4 HTDs at this point, and Robby needed to be brought into the story outside of just narration. My apologies to Mia , but Robby has his foot on the gas, speeding with her. It reads a little false.

During the night portion of the football date, there is a camera pan to Robby when Jordan gets the rose. It could be that these two are the last men standing.

I think it's interesting that, though Robby, Chase, and Jordan were all on the same date, Chase was not on the team that could have more time with Jo. It'll be fascinating to watch Jo if all three of them end up on a group date together.

It's come to my attention that members utilizing the unspoiled threads for sleuthing and discussion are also posting and visiting in the SPOILED BIP threads.
There is nothing wrong with this. I just want to caution anyone doing this. To me, IMO, it would seem to be a conflict of interest but certainly anyone's right.
Going into an area that literally states SPOILERS, and then coming back into UNSPOILED discussion can be very dangerous.
 Please be mindful if you are doing this.
