Good question - I can only guess at the answer but my guess would be that they know - or were told. Easy for someone to have DMed them on SM and alerted them to it. As to the article itself - that it was published might have been a surprise; as to what was claimed in the article I don't think there were any surprises there. I don't think they care, other than I think they might feel sorry for JoJo that stuff like that came out.

Ita, I really don't think BenLo care. If anything , if I was to guess, I think that Ben feels he dodged a bullet if he was truly conflicted between which girl to pick. I don't think he was. Do I think it would surprise Ben to know Jojo might have gone back to her ex after? Nope, I think he might have known it was always a strong possibility even if he picked her jmo.

One thing I often remind myself about is my belief that production knows just about everything about everybody. It's a shame that they use what they know just to push the right buttons and get the responses they want so they can get the storyline they want because they could do a lot of good - they just have no interest in doing so. That said I think there was a reason they chose to put together that little gimmick on JoJo's HTD with Chad re-entering the picture; perhaps they knew what could happen after filming. It's always been my opinion that they knew what Melissa was going to do (and didn't bother to let Jason in on the secret) so they may well have known what could happen with JoJo and Chad. I don't think this is over yet even though Chad seems to say that it is.

This is basically Joelle's "work" as an actress on a dating show and once it's done Chad and her will go live happily ever after in Dallas with their dog Jackson.

I've always seen through that with Jojo. Nice girl but never saw her interaction with Ben or some of the girls as genuine. Based on their family history, she was in it for fame and she actually got it with the bachelorette gig.

So, apparently, that's why she never went anywhere post-show. She was shacking up with Chad.  That shared dog is never going to go away and she'll always hold a candle for chad.  Whoever becomes her F1, I'll be worried.

Ben dodged a bullet (although Ben was never really into the line of fire of that bullet).

Yup, which makes this even more pathetic. She kept talking to Ben about her past and getting hurt, other people involved, yadi yadi yada. Yet she goes running right back to that guy.

^^^ this is why I take this all with a grain of salt keeping in mind that this could be a showmance season.

I never got a genuine vibe off a previous b'ette and the background rumours were strong then. They could be again. Having said that while Jojo maybe genuine it is a good idea to keep those off.

 Just like Shayne was. Shayne fell into deep like with Matt that lasted about 5 minutes. 
This season could end equally as happy for JoJo. I have hope. All my opinion.

Don't we also have rumors floating around that JoJo has a history with married men? Where did that come from? If that's true, it's the grossest of all. She so wasn't for Ben. I doubt Ben cares, but if anything he probably feels badly she has to deal with this, while at the same time giving Lauren an extra kiss and saying a little extra prayer that she was there and he chose wisely.

My prediction: JoJo zero's in on Aaron Rodger's brother. Josh Murray 2.0- he had a famous quarterback brother too, though obviously Jo kicks it up a notch with Aaron Rodger's brother. He's either F1 showmance and I being a big Packer fan will have to suffer seeing JoJo mug on the screen during a quick shot at a Packer game next fall before the innevitable break up, or this dude makes F3 and is the next Bachelor.

Jojo is into a week or so of filming and i'll bet she already gets "it" and knows exactly how Ben brought her to the F2 position. I can hear the producers telling her now"ok you have the most interest in so and so and you like these two enough to keep around , now what you have to do is see that these 4 stay until the end , tell them whatever you have to tell them to complete the show and we'll build the story around them while we set up your one on one dates with your favorite guy".

IMO yes. It's been done other seasons. It's nothing new. 
I have mentioned it before that I was contacted by a male cast person for one of the 'Ette seasons(I think it was Jillian's).  He had been approached by a producer prior to the Meat and Geek about a certain "role" that he was going to fill. He didn't want to do it and his stint of the show was over.
Let me add, that because someone is "acting" to a certain extent, whatever that extent is, does not mean love can not happen between two people. It's  happened gad zillions of times with actors and actresses falling in love during a filming.
